UEF and British Council sign collaboration agreement

On March 18, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance celebrated the signing of collaboration agreement “Bringing the Aptis test to UEF students” with British Council. On this occasion, Ms. Gemma Thompson – Top lecturer from British Council also had a very informative workshop on the topic “Using social media to develop your speaking skills” at UEF’s grand hall.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa – Director of International testing programs gave more information on the Aptis test.
According to the agreement, UEF students will have a chance to try out this international English test based on the European standard; therefore, students can effectively improve their English competencies in their future career.

The agreement ceremony was solemnly held.
 
The Aptis test from British Council provides an overate and global English proficiency indicator và international testing system. In the future, Aptis will surely bring new experience, excitement to the students, help them become more confident and active in learning English as well as increase their chance of success in front of their employers.
Also, the 1-hour workshop about “Using social media to develop your speaking skills” with Ms. Gemma Thompson attracted a large number of students. The activity aims at helping the students improve one of the most important skills of the Aptis from British Council – the Speaking skill. With the help of familiar social media tools: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter... students had a great time practicing and learning valuable knowledge.

During the ceremony, Mr. Le Xuan Binh – Marketing Manager of British Council also shared some information on the Aptis test, including the test’s structure and wonderful tips for achieving higher scores in different skills. We can say that the collaboration between UEF and British Council is one the most important steps in making UEF a top university for providing the students with the professional knowledge, foreign language competence, and plenty of skills which are suitable for current job market’s requirements.
