150 English experts, lecturers participate in TESOL Talk at UEF

TESOL Talk 7 hosted by Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) on October 15th was participated by many experts, speakers, and lecturers from British Council, ACET, RMIT University, University of Pedagogy, etc.

Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc – Director of The Institute of International Education of UEF was giving a speech to open workshop.

UEF affirms its international standard brand name by events that highly promote integration

TESOL Talk has been known as a series of workshops about specialty development for English teachers and lecturers periodically held by Australian Center for Education and Training (ACET), Ho Chi Minh City TESOL Association and RMIT University. The program has so far attracted thousands of teachers and lecturers from various countries and earned good reputation in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

The workshop attracted many experts and lecturers major in English teaching.

With the topic of “Flourishing ELT Teaching English in a Changing World”, it has become a big forum for both national and global experts to have discussions on remarkable affairs in the aspect of teaching English. Some of the most outstanding ideas, for instance, were applying virtual reality and mobile devices, changing methods in order to extricate learners from difficulties in studying English, or attempting to enhance the quality of education in a changing world, etc.

But also showed confidence while discussions

By participating TESOL Talk, UEF lecturers and students were given an opportunity to approach progressive practical teaching methods and oriented towards the flexibility in classroom management and activities organization. Those methods have been believed to be able to prompt students’ motivation and enthusiasm for learning and help them to put theory into practice effortlessly.

The workshops came to an end with positive responses from the community, especially from universities that have been following the international standard education model whose major language is English. As a result, UEF truly hopes to cooperate with organizations to deploy more practical exchange programs in the near future.
