[From the US to Europe] UEFers busy study abroad and exchange cultures

As a prevailing trend, students' criteria for choosing their schools have changed, and the standards for where they decide to pursue their future careers have increased.

In addition to common criteria such as training programs, facilities, skills, etc., the element of international study is a highlight for young people to consider when choosing a school.

Even after being interrupted for a protracted length of time by the pandemic, the appeal of international programs has never cooled down. When the pandemic became more problematic on a worldwide scale during the previous two years, it was nearly impossible for students to "study abroad." In the post-COVID19 era, numerous students have currently seized the opportunity to study abroad, engage in cultural exchange, and develop as global citizens thanks to the valuable scholarships offered by foreign partner universities in collaboration with domestic universities.

One of the universities with strengths in international programs is Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF). UEF is in partnerships with more than 50 prestigious universities, such as 2+2, 3+1 transfer articulation program, joint program, double degree, UEF is constantly proactive in signing, transferring and providing its students with golden opportunities to study abroad.

JULY - UEFers went on a two-week study trip to Arizona State University (ASU). Students in this course learnt about 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), connected with international friends, and experienced the scenery and culture of America, to name a few.

"This journey taught me more about the distinctions between cultures, people, and languages. In addition, I improved my English skills and gained confidence and courage. I also had the opportunity to speak English in the United States. It was a proud experience that I will never forget", said Bao Tran.

As for Minh Thu: "We were able to explore Thunderbird's modern learning environment, experience virtual reality, and distinctive cultural elements, as well as visit the museum, an extraordinarily vast place with many wonders within. This trip has provided me with a great deal of inspiration and drive to continue on my goal of mastering knowledge and experiencing the globe."

Following the ASU international course, next September, UEFers will continue to have the opportunity to visit and study in the land of Kimchi with the student mobility program in the first semester of the academic year 2022-2023 at 3 top universities in Korea.

Korea is presently one of the most popular study abroad destinations for students, providing excellent studying circumstances and facilities, and also serves as the birthplace of many prominent institutions in the area and throughout the world, including Chungbuk University, Busan University of Foreign Studies, and Keimyung University. These are also the 3 upcoming study locations for UEFes in this country.

UEFers has recently visited and studied in many countries

The "Spanish Language and Cultures Winter School" program, implemented by UEF in collaboration with the Catholic University of Murcia-UCAM (Spain), will take place from December 5 to December 20.

Students will attend 50 hours of classroom instruction with UCAM instructors over the 16-day foreign semester, as well as activities to broaden cultural knowledge and other key skills. Previously, in the program "Hispanic Cultural Day 2022," UEFers got the opportunity to learn about the languages and customs of Spanish-speaking nations for the first time.

From international study trips, UEFers are equipped with valuable knowledge and skills for the process of becoming a global citizen role model. They will not only be able to improve their foreign language skills and experience a completely different culture and education, but also be provided with more understanding and grasp about life.
