Following the success of the first batch of UEF students to be recruited and conduct their internships in Japan this February, The Faculty of Languages and International Cultures work closely together to connect with enterprises, and support UEF students with their internships. On February 20, 6 UEF-ers majoring in Japanese Language conducted their internship interviews at Marunuma Kogen Ski Resort – Japan.
On such an important day, Dr. Vo Van Thanh Than – Dean, Faculty of Languages and International Cultures came to support and give handy advice to UEF-ers before they  started their interviews with Japanese recruiters. There were 2 UEF students conducting online interviews among all of the interviewees.
The interview featured Mr. Kobayashi – Head of Human Resources Department, Marunuma Kogen Resort Joint Stock Company; Mr. Igarashi – Director, North Kanto Sales Department, Nakayama Agency Stock Company.

“You should stay calm and try your best in front of recruiters.” - Advice from Dr. Vo Van Thanh Than.

Japanese recruiters focused on giving questions about the Restaurant and Hospitality Industry and evaluated students’ understanding about their enterprises’ businesses. Beside that, students were asked to introduce themselves as well as answering regular questions about Japanese cultures to show off their language skills.
The internship program at Marunuma Kogen Ski Resort Hotel, Japan includes Hospitality related professionals: ensuring the quality and amenities of bedrooms (they need to be clean, hygienic, and decent); Maintaining hygiene for common areas, and bathrooms; Customer service; and Store manager; etc.
In addition, students will have the opportunity to experience Japanese culture, cook Japanese dishes, learn about fire prevention and hygiene management operations; aware of dealing with natural disasters; exchange cultures; and learn practical Japanese.

UEF-ers confidently gave responses to recruiters’ questions in Japanese

The internship will take place in 10 months. Also, students entering the interview have fully met the requirements for Japanese language proficiency (equivalent to N4 - N5).
Pham Thi Thuy Ngan – 2019 batch’s student, shared that: “After searching for information about the program, I was delighted by the opportunity for an international internship. I believe that the program will provide favorable conditions for me to immerse myself in a professional environment. With the knowledge I have gained in UEF and Japanese language N4 level, I can confidently begin my new journey in Japan.
