UEFers and “Giving Well University Tour” – Raise awareness of teenagers about Charity and Volunteering

“Giving Well University Tour - Investing for the Future 2021” is a campaign launched by LIN – the Center for Community Development with the aim of raising awareness of youngsters about charity and volunteering and local non-profit communities. UEF is one of 4 universities participating in this campaign.
Giving Well University Tour is the name of a campaign under the theme “Investing for the Future 2021” which was initiated by LIN Center for Community Development to improve the awareness about non-profit community service and voluntary activities at locals. UEF is one of the 4 universities in Vietnam to participate in this project.
The series of programs within the framework of the campaign is expected to help 400 students acquire useful knowledge about local communities and social impacts as well as actively participate in the process of making positive changes in the society with necessary provided tools.
Six months after the series, an advanced discussion session is conducted to provide students with insights and in-depth skills so that they can carry on their own charity projects.

"The Giving Well Tour program” will help students form the awareness of “giving away” to make an effective and proactive impact on the community, said Ms. Dinh Nguyen Thien An – Deputy Director of UEF Service Learning Center. “In addition to students who directly join in the event series of the Tour, our Center also hopes that the program will be promoted and spread out widely so that students from other universities can start the movement “giving away effectively” in their local community."
In fact, the advantage of our country is the young population and a large and qualified human resource which is promising to boost the national economy to a progressed achievement. In that regard, the young generation will certainly become talented future leaders in enterprises and organizations at different levels. Hence, the long-term objectives and impacts which is expected in our “Giving Well Tour” are to create motivations and nurture voluntarism among the Vietnamese youth as soon as they are university students.
The organizing board of the campaign hopes that after their graduation and officially become a key labor force for the country, UEF students will not only promote the “Giving-Well” spirit in their career but also contribute to the development of the voluntarism eco-system and humanitarian unity in Vietnam.
It has been announced that from 12:00 of December 1 to December 12, 2020, when you make a donation to the "Giving Well University Tour – Invest to the future” campaign, LIN will receive an equivalent sponsorship from Global Giving "Giving Tuesday" Matching Fund. Each contribution to this program also means that more chances are provided for UEF students to access this meaningful project.
