UEF Joins the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN)
OCTOBER 2024, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) officially became a member of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN). UEF is proud to be the eighth university in Vietnam to join this network.
This milestone not only underscores the university's commitment to raising awareness about sustainable development but also marks a significant step toward meeting the criteria of being a "Member of the Environmental Sustainability Development Network" under the QS Stars Rating Methodology, version 6.0. This achievement enhances the university's reputation and fosters actions toward sustainable development.

SDSN was established in 2012 by the United Nations with the goal of mobilizing universities, research institutes, and organizations worldwide to promote sustainable development solutions. SDSN currently boasts over 1,900 members from more than 145 countries, with headquarters located in New York, Paris, and Kuala Lumpur. The network focuses on supporting and implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through education, research, and international collaboration.
October 11, the first meeting between SDSN representatives and UEF was held in an open and friendly atmosphere to discuss cooperation opportunities. Key topics included raising awareness among UEF staff, faculty, and employees about the SDGs, particularly strategies for integrating SDGs into the curriculum. This aims to cultivate future generations of students with a strong sense of responsibility toward the environment and society.
Joining SDSN creates new opportunities for UEF to become part of a vast global community engaged in diverse activities. These include enhancing education and research on SDG-related issues, conducting policy analysis to propose specific recommendations, and fostering global collaboration to share knowledge and experiences.
It is hoped that through connection, learning, and collaboration, positive changes and significant impacts will be made on the sustainable development of the university, the community, and society. The UEF community stands united in action, striving toward a bright and sustainable future.
