“2nd MOS UEF Office Informatics Championship": Setting sail for the quest of searching for talents

With the "learning with practice” training motto, UEF always offers favorable conditions for students to gain the chance to apply their theoretical knowledge into practice through many appealing academic competitions. Upon continuing adding more proud achievements during the journey of 2020 and creating opportunities for UEF students to exchange knowledge and learn at the same time, the Faculty of Information Technology has cooperated with the Office of Student Affairs to organize the “2nd MOS UEF Office Informatics Championship of the year 2020 – 2021” competition.

The first MOS 2020 competition received an abundant amount of positive responses from students
With the greatest determinations and efforts, teachers and students of UEF Family are closing the 2020 journey with extraordinarily impressive achievements. The UEF Family’s representatives had surpassed 666 contestants from 102 teams across the country to bring back the Third place of Microsoft Office Word 2016 division in the Office Informatics World Championship - Viettel 2020 (MOSWC - Viettel 2020).
These achievements are not only the "sweet fruits" grown from the determinations and efforts of the UEF family but they also affirm the university’s quality of training, and "fuel" the students to actively foster and train to become bright candidates that are ready to battle in this year's competition.

UEF achieved an impressive amount of achievement at “Office Informatics World Championship - Viettel 2020”
Students who are interested in the “2nd MOS UEF Office Informatics Championship of the year 2020 – 2021” can take this information into consideration:
1. Duration: 2 days from December 28th, 2020 to December 29th, 2020
On December 28th, 2020: Training session and mock exam
On December 29th, 2020: Opening ceremony and official competition
2. Competition’s location: Laboratory 21.03, 21.04, 21.06, 21.07 – at 141 - 145 Dien Bien Phu, Ward 15, Binh Thanh District
3. Competition’s content and form:
If you are passionate about the field of informatics and are proficient in office’s informatics software, sign up quickly to join the competition. The registration deadline is December 26th, 2020.

MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist) is a test of office informatics skills that are widely applied in more than 140 countries around the world. For students, this is considered a certificate confirming their proficiency in office informatics skills - an indispensable gear in the integrated environment, assisting new bachelors in increasing their competitive advantages in the eyes of employers. For employees, MOS is the basis to affirm the information technology pioneer position in the company, which is good support for them to have their salary boosted in a short time.

- Levels for Specialist MOS certificate include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint of the 2016 office version.
- For each competition section, students must earn at least > = 700 points for the organizers to recognize the results of the 50-minute test.
- Form of competition: Taking an exam directly on a computer with the 2016 office set and Gmetrix software already installed.
4. Prizes for each Word/Excel/PowerPoint category
- 01 First prize: Each prize is worth 1,200,000 VND + A voucher of 410,000 VND for the National Qualifier fee of the Office Informatics World Championship - Viettel in 2021.
- 02 Second prizes: Each prize is worth 800,000 VND + A voucher of 410,000 VND for the National Qualifier fee of the Office Informatics World Championship - Viettel in 2021.
- 02 Third prizes: Each prize is worth 500,000 VND + A voucher of 410,000 VND for the National Qualifier fee of the Office Informatics World Championship - Viettel in 2021.
