Explore UEF through the eyes of Internships from The Bilingual Canadian International School

Spending nearly a week learning and working with UEF teachers and students, BCIS students may have had cherished memories. 

At the closing ceremony on January 15th, Bui Duy Anh represented the BCIS student team to share, “We have a lot of memorable moments in one-week intern at UEF. I used to think that university is just a place to gain knowledge instead of having much more dynamic activities. Events at UEF makes me re-define university. This is a dynamic environment and a stage where students can show themselves. I was especially impressed by the way UEF organizes large-scale events; for example, the Spring Festival which I have attended. I truly thank BCIS and UEF for this treasured intern.”

BCIS had one-week opportunity to be UEF students

Talking about UEF educational programs, almost all interns loved programs in business. Not only did educational programs but dynamic activities also attract these students. “On January 14th, I have attend the UEF Spring Fest 2021. I was impressed by the lotto show, various spring festival stalls and flashmode performances of UEF students. In addition, on January 13th, I was in charge of student ID check-in and I checked over 400 students. It was so memorable!” said Quang Hai.

Fascinating experiences at The Spring Fest at UEF

Specially, BCIS students also saw the differences between high school students and university students through experiences in practical learning. According to Duy Anh, “University students are more possible and flexible in schedule, especially high independent capability. In contrast, high school students are more dependent on parents. Furthermore, university students have more chances to access practical experiences which are helpful for their future career path, however, high school students have less practical experiences. This internship gave us a new viewpoint about outside school life.”

The internship program ended with valuable memories 

Though the internship did not last long, it was expected to facilitate a clearer understanding of the university environment, an experience of living as a university student which were useful for their preparation at university in future.
