UEF awards BCIS students with completion certificates for the 2nd internship

FEBRUARY 24 - Following the internship guidance on organizing community events and career counseling about the majors at UEF, students of Bilingual Canadian International School (BCIS) have completed the internship report and obtained the certificates.
The internship report session had the presence of Ms. Huynh Tu Anh – Deputy Director, UEF International Institute; Ms. Tran Thi My Phuong – Deputy Director, Center of Service-Learning; Ms. Huynh Kim Phung – Coordinator, Center of Service-Learning.

BCIS students presented the report after devising a plan altogether to organize a Mini game with the theme “In celebration of International Women’s Day (March 8)” at UEF. The specific tasks before running the program included generating ideas, plans, and timelines, designing posters, writing content, setting objectives and checklists, running a demo, etc.
When asked about the factors that made the internship meaningful, the students listed collaboration and unity; meeting, learning, and connecting; exchange and understanding; sharing and support; classmates and mentors; lessons on Service-Learning; respect, perseverance, and listening skills; along with feedback as the influential factors. BCIS students also thanked UEF faculty members and upper-level students for their guidance and support throughout the period.


Students shared factors that made the internship meaningful

“After the hands-on experience at UEF, I am profoundly impressed with the modern and comforting learning environment as well as the assistance from the faculty members. Especially, when giving feedback on our projects, lecturers from the Center of Service-Learning offered us new and valuable insights. Thanks to the internship, I have learned how to listen, showcase my confidence, and actively communicate with everyone”, Nguyen Trong Phuc expressed.
At the same time, Bui Lam Bao Phuong added: “UEF is a great environment for students to develop; the faculty members actively offered us new revelations. After the internship, I acquired useful skills such as critical thinking, how to voice my opinions, and raise questions regarding my concerns”.

The internship guidance for BCIS students on community events has successfully concluded. After the recent MOU re-signing, this event might strengthen the partnership between UEF and BCIS, additionally, provide students of both institutions with more practical learning experiences.
