UEF Family to hold farewell for students joining the internship in Japan

FEBRUARY 19 & 20 While welcoming students from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) – Japan, UEF also held a farewell event for 6 students from the Faculty of Languages and International Cultures entering their international internship in Japan spanning from 6 to 11 months.
From the Management Board and faculty members, there were Mr. Do Quoc Anh – Vice Chairman, Board of Directors; Mr. Huynh Quoc Phong – Director, Center of Corporate Partnerships; Dr. Vo Van Thanh Than – Dean, Faculty of Languages and International Cultures; Ms. Huynh Tu Anh – Deputy Director, UEF International Institute along with members from the Faculty of Languages and International Cultures. In addition, there were also representatives of IFK – a company specializing in connecting Vietnamese students with Japanese enterprises.



Faculty members wished UEFers a successful internship

On the path of internationalizing education, UEF is constantly expanding international cooperation, especially enhancing programs that provide students with internships abroad to bring forward more global access of information as well as career development for students.
Joining the internship in Japan, there are 6 UEF students, among which 2 departed on February 19 while the rest soon followed on February 20. The internship is expected to facilitate UEFers’ knowledge of Japanese business culture and practice, workplace manners and discipline from enterprises such as Senoumi Betsutei Umiusagi Hotel; Ishige Kai Bettei Kagiya Hotel; Hakone Pax Yoshino Hotel, etc. from February 1 to December 1, 2023. At the end of the internship, students will return to Vietnam and carry out the reporting procedure to UEF.





Opportunities for UEFers to study abroad are always plentiful

In UEF, the academic model for Japanese Language major is tied with real-life practice in modern and dynamic international environments. Furthermore, third-year students can enroll in mobility and pathway programs to Japanese universities affiliated with UEF such as: Kobe International University (KIU), University of East Asia (UEA), University of Fukui, Kanazawa Institute of Technology (KIT), EHLE Institute, etc.
In the internship semester, students can intern at Japanese enterprises as part of UEF’s agreement with partners, for instance: the Marketing internships at Kinki University, Teikyo University, Kwansei University, Musashino University. etc. In the field of restaurant and hospitality, paid internships are also available for UEFers to experience the life in well-known regions for tourism such as Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Hokkaido, Shizuoka, Nagoya, and so forth.
