FEBRUARY 23 - After the working session in November 2022, UEF and Universiti Teknologi MARA – Malaysia (UiTM) signed MOU, paving the way for multiple long-term cooperative programs to come.
On behalf of UEF, there were Mr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc – Vice President & Director, UEF International Institute; Dr. Ha Thi Thuy – Dean, Faculty of Finance and Commerce; Dr. Phan Bao Giang – Dean, Faculty of Marketing; Dr. Pham Huy Cuong – Dean, Faculty of English; Ms. Do Thi Thu Ha – Deputy Dean, Faculty of Economics; Ms. Huynh Tu Anh – Deputy Director, UEF International Institute; Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Thuy Tien – Deputy Dean, Faculty of Business Administration.
Representing UiTM, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Yamin bin Yasin – Rector, UiTM Negeri Sembilan; Dr. Siti Nor Atika Baharin – Liaison Officer, UiTM Global, Assoc.Prof. Soo Kum Yoke – Coordinator, Language Studies; Dr. Nor Monica Ahmad – Coordinator, Corporate and Communication.

At the session, Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc made a brief presentation of UEF’s history, facilities, academic programs, number of students, etc. On behalf of UiTM, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Yamin bin Yasin gave an overview of the Malaysian university.

According to the sharing, UiTM has multiple institutions established in various cities across Malaysia with a diversity of academic programs. To be specific, UiTM has 31 faculties and academic centers; 14 diploma programs; and 16 undergraduate programs. With the aim of globalizing education, the university has formed partnerships in the US, Canada and is currently expanding cooperation in Asia including Vietnam. At present, UiTM has signed over 500 MOUs with international partners and each agreement brought along new and exciting programs for students to select.
Detailed discussions of the collaborative programs between the two universities
At the previous working session, the two universities had discussed long-term cooperation in the following: articulation programs, internships, TESOL programs, postgraduate programs, etc. Short-term cooperation in co-teaching, research, mobility programs, summer school, and student cultural exchange were also conferred.

After the MOU signing, UEF and UiTM discussed in detail on how to implement the future programs.
The partnership with UiTM is expected to bring diversification into UEF international articulation programs, directly providing UEFers with opportunities for multinational learning experience and cultural exploration.
