As one of the prominent international partners of UEF, the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt, USA), has successfully coordinated with UEF to organize various exchange and academic activities in recent years.
SEPTEMBER 14 - the UEF International Institute had a meeting with representatives from Pitt to discuss plans for the upcoming semester abroad for students from both universities. The two parties discussed, negotiated, and developed numerous new ideas for the program content.

In attendance at the meeting was Mr. Bryan Schultz – Director, Global Experiences College of Business Administration. On behalf of UEF were Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc – Vice President and Director, UEF International Institute; Dr. Nguyen Hong Nhung – Deputy Director, UEF International Institute; Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet Hoang – Deputy Director, Department of Student Services; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Quang – Deputy Director, Department of Facilities Management along with members of the International Institute.
At the beginning of the meeting, the representative from Pitt watched a short video introducing UEF, highlighting its recent updates of numerous new activities in the recent academic years. Moreover, the international programs that the UEF International Institute has been actively promoting over the years were informed to Mr. Bryan Schultz.
Both parties discussed and proposed numerous new points for the upcoming Plus 3 program
For two consecutive years, 2018 and 2019, the Plus 3 program organized by Pitt and UEF was successfully conducted, creating many valuable memories for students from both universities. Absent for 4 years, the program has now begun to have its initial plans to “reboot”, which marked the return of Plus 3.
The program is expected to be held in May 2024. Some activities will still be maintained and deployed similarly to continue the success of previous years. Alongside that, many new activities are added to innovate the program. To keep up with the trend of international integration and sustainability, the main theme and activities will change accordingly.

According to the plan, knowledge about sustainable development will be conveyed to participating students by experienced economic experts. Correspondingly, field trips are organized to help students explore Vietnamese tourism and culture, along with exchange, academic, and learning activities.
After two hours of meeting, many contents were discussed and added to the plan. This promises another practical semester abroad, enhancing cross-country friendships between students from both universities as well as the partnership between UEF and Pitt. Let's look forward to and actively participate in this particular program, UEFers!
