[UEF x Troy University - USA] Discussion on international articulation programs

OCTOBER 24 - Continuing to promote international joint programs, UEF hosted a working session with Troy University - USA to discuss international cooperation opportunities in several academic programs.

Delegation from Troy University came to visit and attended the working session at UEF

The meeting featured the delegates from Troy University, including Dr. Jack Hawkins — Chancellor, Dr. Lance Tatum — Senior Vice chancellor for Academic Affairs, Mr. Sohail Agboatwala — Senior Vice Chancellor, Student Service - Administration, Ms. Sharron Bector — Director, International Sites, and Ms. Annie — Troy programs coordinator - Saigon.
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Bui Xuan Lam — Vice Chairman, Board of Directors, Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc — Vice President, Board of Management and Director, UEF International Institute, Ms. Huynh Tu Anh, Ms. Tran Phuong Quynh — Deputy Director, UEF International Institute, and the faculty members represented UEF.

At the meeting, the Chancellor of Troy University gave a brief introduction of the university and its programs. According to him, Troy has always aimed towards promoting international cooperation and has witnessed a promising potential in Asia in general and Vietnam in particular. Currently, Troy Univesity has established partnership with universities in Ha Noi and Da Nang.
Soon after, Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc gave an overview of UEF and mentioned cooperation opportunities between UEF and other universities within the system.

The parties introduced themselves and discussed cooperative programs.

The two parties discussed cooperation in several contents such as 2+2, 3+1, 4+0 articulation programs and so forth, of which majors, namely Digital Marketing, Finance, Communications, and so on are the main priorities.

The working session took place successfully

Troy University is a public university established in 1887 in Troy, Alabama, USA. The university centers on developing quality education, advanced and top-ranked academic programs such as Business Administration, Psychology, Information Technology, to name a few.
Prior to this working session, the delegates had a chance to tour around the campus and expressed their satisfaction with UEF’s learning environment and facilities. Through this meeting, the two universities expected further progress in international cooperation to diversify learning opportunities and hands-on activities for students.
