On the morning of April 22, the Faculty of Finance – Accounting at UEF successfully organized the final round of the “Student Scientific Research Competition in Finance – Accounting – Auditing”. The event served as an academic gathering for students passionate about research and clearly reflected how learners approach financial issues in the current context of digital transformation and economic volatility.

The evaluation panel included Dr. Lâm Thị Hồng Hoa – Head of the Postgraduate Finance – Banking Program, MA. Nguyễn Thanh Lâm – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Finance – Accounting, and MA. Trần Ngọc Thanh – lecturer of the Faculty. Acting as reviewers, the lecturers asked in-depth questions to help students refine their academic thinking.

The Organizing Committee expressed gratitude to the expert evaluation panel for their support.
The final round featured nine research topics from individuals and groups covering a wide range of up-to-date directions, including the impact of artificial intelligence on accounting learning, digital competencies of students in the digital transformation era, and factors influencing young people’s financial behavior. In addition, high-level academic topics on geopolitical risk, corporate financial structure, leadership under financial pressure, and fintech trends in the green bond market were rigorously developed, demonstrating a serious approach to macroeconomic issues.

Each team had 10 minutes to present before the panel and receive direct feedback. What stood out was the students’ confidence in delivery, grasp of the issues, and logical thinking. Many topics were presented and defended entirely in English, demonstrating that foreign language proficiency is becoming a clear advantage in UEF students’ scientific research.
From a professional standpoint, the panel provided detailed feedback on research methodology, model construction, data processing, and the feasibility of recommendations. These constructive comments helped students clearly identify the strengths and limitations of their work while opening new avenues for further development.
The panel asked critical questions and provided detailed feedback to each research group.
At the conclusion of the final round, the top five outstanding topics were selected. These represented standout approaches with high practical value:

The Faculty of Finance – Accounting honored the top five student groups that excelled in solving financial challenges through outstanding scientific research.
The competition concluded with strong academic impressions and clearly demonstrated that UEF’s learning environment is creating favorable conditions for students to engage seriously and purposefully in scientific research. For these young talents who have embarked on this journey, each topic is not merely an academic product but the beginning of long-term research thinking, where persistence and a spirit of discovery play the decisive role.
