General Introduction
The Faculty of Finance and Accounting (FFA) is one of UEF’s key academic units, focusing on applied and integrated education to provide high-quality human resources in accounting, auditing, and finance. Its curriculum is designed in line with professional standards, updated with digital trends, and emphasizes a balanced approach between theory and practice, professional expertise and soft skills, as well as real-world business experiences.
History of Formation and Development
The Faculty originated as the Faculty of Finance – Monetary Business (October 1, 2007, Decision No. 09/QĐ-HĐQT). In 2014, it was renamed the Faculty of Finance and Accounting; in 2017, it was merged into the Faculty of Economics (Decision No. 07/QĐ-HĐQT, August 29, 2017). On August 31, 2020, the University Council issued Decision No. 16/QĐ-HĐT to establish the Faculty of Finance and Commerce (separated from the Faculty of Economics). Finally, on November 7, 2023, under Decision No. 24/QĐ-HĐT, the unit was officially renamed the Faculty of Finance and Accounting as it stands today.

Leadership and Lecturers
The Faculty Board consists of Dr. Hà Thị Thủy – Dean, Mr. Nguyễn Thanh Lâm, MA – Vice Dean, and Mr. Nguyễn Nam Trung, MA – Assistant to the Dean. With extensive academic and managerial experience, the board directs the strategic development of curricula, fosters enterprise connections, and provides comprehensive support for students. The Faculty’s lecturers are highly qualified, employ modern teaching methods, and continuously update accounting–auditing standards, financial management practices, and technological applications in teaching. The academic affairs team provides effective administrative and academic support, creating a professional and student-friendly learning ecosystem.
Academics – Research – Business Engagement
The Faculty frequently organizes academic competitions (Stock Investment Challenge, Accounting–Finance IT Talent, Finance–Accounting Olympiad, English for Finance Debate, Business Talents, FinWorld Student Research, etc.), seminars, talk shows, workshops, and specialized reports featuring CFOs, chief accountants, and FinTech experts. These activities keep students updated on career trends, develop analytical and data-driven thinking, enhance technological skills, and enrich practical experiences through site visits and internships. Many courses incorporate service learning and community activities, fostering social responsibility and teamwork in real-world contexts.
Student Organizations and Clubs
FFA students are encouraged to grow through various organizations and professional clubs, including:
