The UEF delegation traveled to Da Nang for the final two days of December 5 and 6, where they attended the scientific conference titled "Application of Community Learning Models (CEL/SL) in Vietnamese Higher Education". The trip was led by Dr. Nhan Cam Tri, Vice President of the University.
With support from the Irish Aid Foundation, coordination from the Center for Sustainable Development Studies (CSDS), and expert sponsorship from Vietnam Campus Engage, the workshop was put on by the Center for Community Engaged Learning at the Danang University of Architecture (VCE).

Community service-related learning approaches from several colleges were presented at the workshop, presenting a wealth of insights. The workshop benefited from the presentation given by Ms. Hoang Mi and Mr. Hoang Van Hieu, lecturers at the UEF Faculty of Public Relations and Communication and the Faculty of Information Technology, respectively.
It is well recognized that the presentation of UEF teachers and students draws highly useful conclusions by incorporating volunteer work into the areas of news writing, news reporting, online design, and web programming.

Furthermore, the workshop organized training activities to strengthen lecturers' professional ability in the use of the CEL/SL model in teaching, research, and project implementation.
In order to grow the CEL/SL network, the workshop also provided possibilities for interaction and connection between participating units. The relationship that exists between local universities and non-profit and NGOs is crucial for facilitating the implementation of community projects and activities.
