Zero waste for the day : Seminar respond to the world environment of UEF

In the spirit of UEF’s environmental action month, recently, Community Connection Center has organized the online seminar “Zero waste for the day“ to raise awareness for students about protecting the environment, reducing plastic waste and sustainable consumption.
The program honorably had the companion of Mrs. Denis Truong - CEO of TYDE Consulting. Aside from executing the business, Mrs.Denis Truong also represents the Ho Chi Minh Trash Hero organization, holding many programs with the goals of changing the consuming habit to achieve environmental friendliness.

Being held online, the seminar “Zero waste for the day “ still attracted many students to join, which demonstrated the youth’s consciousness with environmental problems. The main content of the seminar has been designed and transmitted in many ways that are interactive and interesting to avoid boredom and also increase the participants' experience.
With the simple, approachable guidance of Mrs.Denise Truong, students had a clearer awareness of environmental problems, especially the harms of plastic waste and plastic bags to biodiversity.

Also during the seminar, students showed interest in environmental problems by asking many unique questions : How can AI be applied to increase the efficiency of garbage disposal? How to dump the garbage at the right place legally? Methods to reduce waste? …
With almost 2 hours of sharing, the seminar wasn’t long enough to answer all of the concerns of students but still help elicit inside each one of them the ideas of sustainable actions.

The seminar “ Zero waste for the day “ belonged to the online talkshow series “ LEARN. SHARE. GROW “, aimed to connect UEF students with professionals in social development and sustainable business practices.
