MOU Signing Ceremony and Talkshow "Green Economy - Opportunities and Challenges for Gen Z" (uef.edu.vn)

19/05/2022
"A true green economy will be a solution to ensure economic development while also contributing to the protection of other issues related to the human living environment. Currently, there are many units taking advantage of the phrase "green economy" to attract the market but completely fail to ensure as committed, causing consumers to lose trust and this is also a limitation for real people." Therefore, each of us needs to cultivate knowledge and skills fully and deeply to be able to work in the new economy. Green skills mentioned by Huynh Le Khanh are the knowledge, abilities, values and attitudes necessary to live, develop and support a sustainable and resource-efficient society.

Soon after, the sharing of Ms. Ngoc Tran - Co-founder of ForGood Vietnam had an impressive sharing from the first seconds. By asking questions alongside multiple-choice questions, the whole room was sometimes silent because of the "talking" answers: "There are 67% illiterate women among all the illiterate people of the world; there are 650 million women who married before the age of 18; on average women pay 24% less than men; among the 500 largest companies in the world, women are CEOs accounting for 5%..."

Then it all came together with Ngoc Tran's next question: "So what have you done since you were born to help solve these problems of inequality?" The information Ms. Ngoc Tran shared then helped people better understand ForGood Vietnam, this is a social enterprise, ForGood Vietnam's activities aim at positive, resilient and sustainable values to cultivate the basic skills needed to be able to develop,  demonstrate competence and dedication to society.

At the end of the program, the signing of the strategic cooperation between UEF Community Connection Center and ForGood Vietnam, the signing ceremony is the first step for discussions and cooperation plans for 5 years between the two sides, in an effort to bring learning opportunities and capacity development to students,  namely, young start-up clubs, young entrepreneurs at UEF. This is also the reason, TT.KNCĐ invited representatives of clubs such as Business Ideas Hub Club - BiHub, Representatives of Young Financial Planners Club - YFDM, Representatives of Young Promising Managers Club - YMP, and students interested in green startups to attend the program.

The show ended in many "touches" between the unknown as one friend shared: "I didn't expect to be so heartless, the things you discussed today were like something that shocked me, because I didn't think it was important,  as well as the green economy I just think of selling environmentally friendly products, but it's broader than that, I like the word happy economy!"; Or also "touch" an opportunity as another friend shared: "You share very enthusiastically and give me more useful knowledge, also create opportunities for all participants to start a business"
