Project Day: A space for loving hearts with impressive community connection projects

14/03/2023
With the desire to spread the series of community projects to more students, the UEF Community Connection Center organized Project Day Program - Community Project Day on the morning of March 14. Here, UEFers participated in the games and had the opportunity to learn and register in the project that was suitable for them.

A large number of students responded to Project Day

The opening program was attended by Dr. Nhan Cam Tri - Vice Principal; MSc. Bui Quang Dong - Head of Student Affairs Department, Director of Community Connection Center; MSc. Tran Thi My Phuong - Deputy Director of Community Connection Center; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Sang - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tien Phong Company.

For the opening remarks, Dr. Nhan Cam Tri said: “As a university student, in addition to studying, participating in social activities helps you accumulate many life skills. Therefore, besides cultural, artistic, academic competitions,... community activities also receive a lot of attention from students. Many community partners after receiving the products of UEF students were very appreciative. After the activities, I see that the students are more mature in both their awareness and knowledge”.

On the Project Day, students were dropped into the "giant billionaire chess board" with 3 exciting sessions to explore and learn about community projects: game booth, lucky road, gift auction floor. Expressing their own spirit and color, projects under the UEF Service-Learning Center such as Sketchnote for Good; Nu cuoi em tho; Heart to Hand; C4D; Student for Inclusion appeared in Project Day with a series of unique and eye-catchingly decorated booths. Here, through a variety of experiences about games such as sortilege to get fun facts; memory games; a tale never loses in the telling; tinting; throw the ball into the glass; ... the players initially engaged in the battle of "hunting money", collecting virtual money.

However, in another space, Project Day's atmosphere is somewhat more serious with interview sessions, looking for new members for projects. Students can listen to representatives/leaders introduce in depth about the project as well as gain a better understanding of the position and the upcoming journey they will accompany.

Finally, all the gifts prepared by the Project Day organizers have found their owners, 5 projects have also found the missing pieces in the upcoming  journey of community service, all as one happy ending to the Community Project Day. With this interesting approach and spread, Project Day has successfully brought the image of the Service-Learning Center to more audiences as a common roof of loving hearts, giving more faith and motivation to those who are less fortunate and need help in society.
