The introducing seminar of the 6th ‘New page of life’ campaign

Have you ever wondered how important a birth certificate is to your own life?

Birth certificate, the kind of document that we always think of as obvious and often "be forgotten". However, in fact, a large number of children are born and grow up every year, but for many reasons, this document is still neglected. Since then, their names and many legitimate interests have been lost.

With the desire to continue the birth certificate supporting journey, offer scholarships, nutritional support as well as health care for children with special circumstances so that they can have the opportunity to design images of the bright future, in the morning of November 15th,  MSD United Way Vietnam cooperated with the Service-Learning Center of University of Economics and Finance so as to officially launch the 6th New Life Page campaign with the theme "Opening a new chapter for their lives".



The workshop was accompanied by rapper Wowy as the campaign's goodwill ambassador, with the gracious leadership of MC Lieu Ha Trinh and the media ambassador MC Loan Vu.


Besides that, there were also the presence of representatives from the Institute of Sustainable Development and Management (MSD): Ms. Nguyen Phuong Linh - Director of MSD and Ms. Nguyen Vo Truc Giang - MSD Operations Director. Besides that, there were also sponsors, businesses, KOLs, as well as media partners who have always sponsored and supported the campaign.



The event specifically highlighted issues which related to a person’s birth certificates such as the importance, inadequacies and omissions when a baby does not have a name, as well as the reality of the problem. During the event, the guests took turns to share about what the project had achieved, the upcoming plans with the hope of helping more people and spreading positive energies furtherly.

As the campaign's goodwill ambassador, Rapper Wowy even put aside his strong individuality which we usually see on stage, in order to deliver sincere and emotional confessions. The story about a close friend who lacked the necessary documents to travel with him and conquer new experiences, made the students partly recognize the necessity of this aspect.


Besides appealing, the seminar also invited the lucky families who were helped by MSD, for instance, the Thach family. Previously, due to many reasons, the parents could not prepare birth certificates for their 4 children. They also experienced a hard time when their children couldn't go to school, or they had to pay high hospital bills because they couldn't get health insurance cards, etc. Thanks to the timely help from MSD, they are gradually having brighter, more promising aspects in their lives. It was the sharing from the Thach family, the clips talking about the difficulties of families in similar circumstances, and children with beautiful but uncompleted dreams because they could not go to school, that made the whole hall become silent and full of emotional and empathic feelings.


The seminar closed in the deposition of love, sympathy and understanding. With different supporting ways, MSD hopes to spread the message of humanity far away, and at the same time receive the support from the community so that the children can receive good things that they deserve.


Through this activity, it is hopeful that we will appreciate our own birth certificate more, and also appreciate the simple things that we possess. UEFers now have time to listen to and spread good values in life in order to be ready to accompany and contribute to the community.
