13/07/2022
Last weekend, the UEF Community Connection Center (TT. KNCĐ) organized a Leadership Camp and Capacity Building Training for 26 students. These are students who actively participate in community activities, have leadership qualities and have been participating in coordinating community projects and activities.

The camp's activities are designed and coordinated by Mr. Duoc Nguyen - a certified Outdoor Education Program Specialist in Germany. Accompanying the students was Ms. Dinh Nguyen Thien An - Director of TT. KNCĐ. KNCĐ, Ms. Tran Thi My Phuong - Project Coordinator, Ms. Huynh Kim Phung - Project Coordinator, Skills Trainer.

The game "Build a tower" helps you understand the meaning of building a foundation when implementing a project

After completing the preparations, the group departed for the camp area at Tri An Lake, the campers had their first challenging activity called "Building a tower". Teams must create their own tower with the criteria of being the strongest or tallest. The game helps link each member's perspective when implementing community projects about what you are interested in: Building a foundation or trying to expand the scale?.

You all agree: "Building a foundation including building a team, building a plan, building a process is very important. Only by building this part can the project operate effectively and create value." , the desired positive effects".

Many interesting activities help you bond with each other

During the activities, the students always received guidance from Mr. Duoc Nguyen and colleagues from TT. KNCĐ. In each activity, the organizers observed at the same time. At the end of the game, there was a contemplation activity. You gave advice and useful lessons for you to hone your leadership skills and inspire value. The value of understanding and teamwork to prepare together for challenges not only at camp but also for future learning and community service activities.

The campfire program at the end of the day is an opportunity for you to sit together and listen to sincere sharing. In an atmosphere of deep friendship, non-judgment and respect for differences, many feelings were expressed and questions were answered.

The morning of the 2nd day of the camp is a free activity, you can choose to participate in 1 of 3 activities including: Small group chat, Yoga and Dance. After the morning warm-ups, camp members entered new challenges.

Meaningful words of thanks were exchanged when the camp ended

The highlight that brings a lot of emotions to the campers is the activity "Trust Challenge - Trust". The game helps you understand yourself, expand your comfort zone and put trust in your teammates. From here, you have the clearest and most realistic view of cohesion and the power of consensus to foster belief in good things.

The camp ends with small titles, drawn from observations, recognizing the strengths that each camper has shown and contributed to the camp and to the group. Each awarded title represents the unique characteristics that each person demonstrated during the 2 days of participating in Leadership Camp and Capacity-Building Training.

From the new experiences of the training camp, I hope you have gained a lot of knowledge and skills about leading military groups, gradually expanding your interest in community issues, and having more opportunities. More than the strength to serve ourselves, our groups and the community.
