The Phase 5 Activities Summary of For The Children’s Smile Project

"A true teacher is not someone who forces knowledge in the brain, but it is the job of someone who ignites the fire in the soul."




So the journey of "igniting the fire in the soul" of For The Children’s Smile project’s phase 5 officially ended on December 25 with the brilliant success of "Seven Colors Campaign". After 3 months of operation, Smiley House has completed its mission of teaching soft skills to children and supporting community partners. At the same time, the students ended their journey of experiencing and contributing to community activities of the UEF Center of Service - Learning.


Phase 5 is also a milestone marking the birth of a new teaching form called "Seven Colors Campaign", which combines online and offline platforms, with the desire to create meaningful values for the community and UEF’s students.


The Seven Colors Campaign is a teaching program based on seven themes associated with colors: Green, Red, Brown, Pink, Beige, Blue, Yellow, Black and White to cultivate life skills and cooking knowledge, music, sports; lessons about gratitude - forgiveness; lessons to ignite the fire of passion, as well as leading students to discover their own strengths, weaknesses, and abilities. From there, being able to contribute to motivating children on their path of personal development.


Besides sharing knowledge and teaching children, the Seven Colors Campaign is also an opportunity for UEF students to have an environment to practice, practice lesson-designing skills, communication skills and empathy skills with children. In addition, the members also increase their community awareness and live more responsibly towards society.


The Seven Colors Campaign ends, also ending the knowledge sharing journey of For The Children's Smile project in phase 5 with a closing meeting. The most memorable time is when all members and the children at the shelter looked back at the past together, with so many mixed emotions of joy and sadness.


Moreover, this is also a time to talk and connect for Smiley House’s members. Everyone gathered to sing youthful songs and enjoy a sweet party together. Specifically, members will also receive a Certificate from the UEF Center of Service - Learning as a recognition and thank you for their contributions and dedication to the community project.
