Student’s Reflection

Boi Nhan and her journey of transformation "turning pressure into motivation"

22/10/2023
Changing herself and courageously overcoming challenges are the things that Phan Boi Nhan - a third-year student majoring in International Business at Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) learned through her journey together with the UEF Service-Learning Center.

Boi Nhan - a bright friend of the C4D fundraising team

Boi Nhan started her journey of self-improvement with the C4D fundraising team thanks to the suggestion of two sisters in the leadership team, Ms. Tran Thi My Phuong - Deputy Director and Ms. Huynh Kim Phung - Project Coordinator. Having participated in the center as a member of the Service-Learning leadership network, Nhan wants to experience and accumulate more experience by trying to take on a new position in the organization team of fundraising projects and activities.
Having come a long way with the Service-Learning Center, Nhan said: "This is the place that has invoked me the most creativity and dedication." She is always ready to contribute her values and youth to the community, especially the activities of the fundraising team.

Full of energy in fundraising activities

Accompanying the fundraising team, Nhan has had many unforgettable memories. She recalled the days when she was just getting used to her new position, when she was assigned the responsibility of taking on the main role in the tea fundraising campaign "Reward tea - Give hope." For her, the campaign preparation period was one of the most difficult times. At that time, because she was not well equipped and did not understand much about the implementation process, Nhan faced a lot of pressure.

But thanks to the trust and companionship of her teammates, she overcame those challenges and turned the pressure into motivation. She reminisced about the preparation phase for the tea sales campaign with a tone full of emotion: “At that time, I was stressed because I had to be in charge of everything, but when I had the trust and support of the center, it was like I had more energy.”

As the person who opened a new page for the C4D fundraising group, Nhan felt happy and proud to bring Service-Learning to more people. At the same time, Nhan also felt grateful to herself for being able to make an effort to complete the project well. Each activity that Nhan has undertaken and been in charge of at the Center has pressure but also motivation to help her overcome shortcomings and gain more lessons for herself.

A little girl with a mature and brave soul

Growing up, transforming from difficult times and gaining the trust of Ms. Phuong - the person who led her from the very first activities, Nhan is now an extremely strong and resilient friend who can face all challenges. Besides, Nhan is more enthusiastic and energetic in the activities that she participates in. The lessons that Nhan learned from her journey as a member of the Center have become the driving force that always motivates and "keeps the fire" of enthusiasm for her in many future activities.
