Building on the continuous efforts and achievements of the Japanese Language programme, and with the aspiration of enabling students to access a wider range of Asian cultures, the Faculty of Languages and International Cultures at HCMC University of Economics and Finance (UEF) was established on 20 March 2019 under Decision No. 07/QĐ-HĐQT, signed on 15 March 2019. The Faculty’s primary mission was to provide education and training in Japanese and Korean languages.

Currently, the Faculty offers three majors: Japanese Language, Korean Language, and Chinese Language.

Education Objectives

The Faculty of Languages and International Cultures aims to train students with solid academic knowledge, professional skills, sound political and ethical qualities, and good health so that they can work effectively in international business environments or in other professional fields requiring proficiency in Japanese, Korean, or Chinese.

Academic Staff

The Faculty’s full-time and visiting lecturers hold Master’s degrees or higher and graduated with good or excellent academic performance from reputable universities both in Viet Nam and abroad.

In addition, the participation of experienced and enthusiastic international visiting lecturers is also a distinctive strength of the Faculty’s training programmes.
