In the context of Vietnam’s higher education sector increasingly advancing international integration and enhancing quality in line with global standards, international accreditation activities are playing an increasingly important role in affirming the reputation and training capacity of higher education institutions. In response to this trend, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) has proactively chosen to pursue accreditation in accordance with FIBAA standards.

The organization specializes in evaluating higher education institutions and academic programs in fields such as economics, business administration, law, and the social sciences and humanities.
UEF continues external accreditation for four study programs
under international standards
UEF’s decision to appoint FIBAA as the accreditation body for these four programs represents a strategic effort to align its curricula with international benchmarks, enhance academic quality, and further advance the University’s internationalization goals. The external review process not only enables the University to comprehensively assess and refine its programs toward a more modern, practice-oriented approach that meets the demands of the global labor market, but also helps increase the value of its qualifications and strengthen learners’ competitiveness.
Furthermore, this round of external accreditation marks an important milestone in UEF’s ongoing commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement. It reflects the University’s dedication to sustainable development, a learner-centered philosophy, and its commitment to internationally recognized educational standards.
A FIBAA expert panel conducted quality accreditation for two UEF programs in March 2025
The opening session of the external review will take place on the afternoon of March 25, 2026, marking the start of the official schedule between the FIBAA expert panel and UEF. As part of the evaluation process, the panel will conduct online interviews with relevant stakeholders to gather multi-dimensional perspectives on program quality as well as student support services.
FIBAA’s accreditation framework is designed to ensure both the breadth and depth of program quality, covering key aspects such as program objectives, curriculum structure and content, teaching and learning methods, faculty, learning environment, and student support services. The framework also places a strong emphasis on internationalization, including program design, language of instruction, faculty qualifications, the academic environment, and opportunities for international mobility and articulation programs.
Two UEF programs accredited under international FIBAA standards
In June 2025, UEF reached a significant milestone as two undergraduate programs: English Language and Finance and Banking, were officially granted international accreditation in accordance with FIBAA standards. This achievement reflects the University’s ongoing efforts to enhance academic quality and align its programs with internationally recognized benchmarks.
