Closing the Mock Interview with UEFers

The final interview day of UEF’s Mock-Interview & Job Fair 3/2026 took place on the morning of March 6. This session was dedicated to students from language majors (English Language, Japanese Language, Korean Language, Chinese Language) and service-related fields in tourism, hospitality, and food & beverage (Tourism and Travel Management, Hotel Management, Restaurant and Food Service Management).

As with previous days, professional organization and students’ careful preparation made for an effective interview session. To impress employers, students prepared thoroughly well in advance — from neat business attire to professionally designed CVs — demonstrating the readiness of these Gen Z candidates. Proactively researching the companies also helped students feel more confident when speaking with employer representatives.
The appeal of the final day came from the wide range of participating recruiters across different industries. This variety offered students a comprehensive view of how language skills intersect with high-end customer service. Participating organizations included Sacombank, HDBank, Vietcap, Đông Tây Land and Techcombank, Saigon Trade, LED English House, VinaAspire, Uni Invest, VFS Securities, Esuhai, Titan International, Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel, Vientity, IN HOSPITALITY, and more.


UEFers impressed employers with fluent interview responses

During the interviews, language-major students stood out for their fluent foreign-language reflexes and sharp translation-oriented thinking. They not only answered technical questions well but also demonstrated cultural awareness.
Meanwhile, students from the Tourism — Hospitality — Restaurant cluster displayed polished service manners and flexible problem-solving skills. They handled practical scenarios related to restaurant and hotel operations and tour management with tact, leaving a strong impression on employers about their ability to apply classroom knowledge in real-world situations.
At each interview station, employer representatives evaluated not only professional knowledge but also offered practical insights into the labor market. Feedback on attitude adjustments and how to better present personal strengths helped students identify areas for improvement. Employers also praised UEF students’ confidence and soft skills and opened up numerous internship and job opportunities for promising candidates.

Across three interview days, the event successfully served as a sustainable bridge between the university and the real job market. The entire series allowed each student to assess their abilities objectively and to plan a sound career development path. The experience and advice gained from industry experts will be invaluable as UEFers prepare to join the global workforce.
