The General English Program at Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance is designed to empower students with essential language skills and communicative confidence, preparing them for a globalized world. Aiming to support students’ development of English language proficiency at Level B1 (in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages CEFR) upwards, it emphasizes interactive and practical approaches to language acquisition.
Students engage in dynamic activities that enhance their speaking, listening, reading, and writing abilities, fostering fluency and accuracy in real-world contexts. The curriculum integrates contemporary themes and cultural insights, allowing learners to connect language study with their personal and professional aspirations. UEF's focus on communicativeness ensures that students not only learn grammar and vocabulary but also develop the soft skills necessary for effective communication in diverse environments.

The program also promotes global readiness by incorporating cross-cultural perspectives and encouraging collaboration among peers from various backgrounds. Through group projects, discussions, and presentations, students cultivate the confidence to express their ideas and opinions clearly and persuasively. By the end of their studies, graduates emerge as competent communicators, equipped to navigate international settings and contribute meaningfully in both academic and professional realms. Embrace the journey of language learning at UEF, where your global future begins!
The program includes six levels as in the following:
