With the aim of helping students enhance their ability to use English naturally and effectively, on the morning of December 24, the Faculty of English organized English Workshop 6 with the theme “Mastering the Secret of English Collocations.” The program attracted the attention of many students who love English and wish to improve their language skills for both academic study and communication.

The workshop was led by ThS. Bùi Công Khanh and ThS. Trần Thị Dung, lecturers from the Faculty of English. Here, students were systematically introduced to collocations—fixed phrases in English, which are important for learners to use the language in the correct context, sounding more natural and closer to native speakers. Through specific examples, the instructors helped students identify common collocations in academic study, communication, and English proficiency tests.

In addition to sharing foundational knowledge, the workshop also emphasized practical activities, featuring various exercises for students to directly apply theory to specific situations. The flexible combination of theory and practice not only helped students better remember the knowledge but also enhanced their language reflexes, avoiding common errors in word usage when learning English.

Through English Workshop 6, students gained an opportunity to reinforce their vocabulary, improve accuracy, and ensure natural expression, while also forming the habit of learning English in phrases rather than as isolated words. This workshop is one of the practical academic activities organized annually, contributing to a dynamic learning environment that helps UEF students gradually improve their English skills, meeting the demands of study and international integration.
