REFLECTING ON 2025 - FACULTY OF ENGLISH ✨

December wrapped up with a diverse series of activities, harmoniously combining academics, collaboration, experiences, and community contributions, clearly demonstrating the Faculty of English's commitment to sustainable development. Let's take a look back at the highlights from the past month:

Business Visit to Acecook on December 3, 2025

Students from the Faculty of English toured the instant noodle production process and enjoyed Acecook products.

English Workshop 4 – “IELTS Writing Task 1 Overviews: How to Maximize Your Task Achievement Band Score”

Led by Ms. Lê Hoàng Nhi An and Mr. Lê Khánh Hoàng, the workshop helped students dissect the standard structure of a Writing Task 1, which consists of three parts: Introduction, Overview, and Body.

English Workshop 5 – “Breaking The Intermediate Loop”

Presented by Mr. Han Ngo, an English Educator at RMIT Vietnam and a Master’s degree holder in TESOL from Sheffield Hallam University, UK, the speaker guided the session in a friendly and profound manner, helping students reflect on their English learning journey more systematically and scientifically.

Tea & Talk 3 – “Dare to Try”

This inspiring discussion encouraged students to be bold, step out of their comfort zones, and actively seize opportunities for personal development.

Volunteer Activity – “Joyful Christmas”

This activity embodied the spirit of sharing, spreading love, and community responsibility among the faculty and students of the Faculty of English during the Christmas season, reaching out to the elderly and children at the Thiện Duyên Shelter in Cu Chi. We cherish our connection and collaboration with Kim Yen Foundation and Vietop Language Center.

Team-Building – “Christmas Party”

A space for connection among faculty members that enhanced long-term bonding, understanding, and collaboration.

Mission Not Impossible Competition – “Say It Like You Mean It”

This competition provided a platform for students to hone their communication, persuasion, and message delivery skills in English confidently and effectively.

English Workshop 6 – “Mastering the Secret of English Collocations”

Presented by Mr. Bùi Công Khanh and Ms. Trần Thị Dung, this workshop helped students enhance their naturalness and academic proficiency in using English by understanding and applying collocations in the correct context.

Tea & Talk 4 – “Lessons from Success”

This session shared practical lessons from academic and career journeys, helping students shape their goals and long-term development strategies.

Qualifying Round of the Inter-school English Speaking Competition – “THE ERA OF RISING – Voices That Inspire Change”

This round provided students with the opportunity to express critical thinking, personal voice, and social responsibility through English-speaking competitions.

Semi-Finals and Finals of the “2025 Student Research Ideas Competition”

Organized by the Faculty of English and the Faculty of Language and International Culture, and sponsored by IELTS Fighter, this event concluded with talented performances from eight groups of contestants in both English and Vietnamese categories.

December marks not only the end of a year but also lays the groundwork for the Faculty of English to continue innovating, connecting, and breaking through in the future.
