In June 2025, the University of Economics and Finance Ho Chi Minh City (UEF) marked a significant milestone in its journey to enhance educational quality and advance global integration, as two of its undergraduate programs—English Language and Finance – Banking—were officially accredited by FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation).

FIBAA is a leading independent, non-profit accreditation organization based in Europe, specializing in evaluating programs in economics, law, social sciences, and the humanities. Its evaluation framework consists of 5 main standards and 54 criteria, designed to ensure comprehensive and in-depth assessment of program quality—from learning objectives, curriculum content, and teaching methods to faculty qualifications, learning environments, and student support ecosystems. Notably, FIBAA places strong emphasis on internationalization across program design, language of instruction, faculty makeup, academic activities, international environments, and student mobility opportunities.
UEF’s English Language and Finance – Banking programs officially receive international FIBAA accreditation.

Earning the prestigious FIBAA Quality Seal not only affirms UEF’s adherence to international standards in education, but also highlights the university’s commitment to sustainable development, student-centered learning, and deep integration into the global higher education landscape.
During the 2025 evaluation round, UEF’s two programs fully met FIBAA’s accreditation criteria and received high commendation from the FIBAA Review Council in several key areas:
  • Strong industry partnerships and clear career orientation: UEF has built and maintained a network of over 1,000 domestic and international partner enterprises, offering students rich opportunities for internships, practicums, and employment both during and after their studies.
  • Dedicated academic and career guidance from faculty: UEF lecturers not only serve as instructors but also act as academic mentors and personal advisors, helping students develop critical thinking, independent learning skills, and tailored career pathways.

FIBAA’s expert panel conducted an on-site evaluation of both programs in March 2025.

The Bachelor’s programs in English Language and Finance – Banking, now internationally accredited by FIBAA, are a testament to UEF’s academic quality and provide numerous tangible benefits for students during their studies and future careers.
Key advantages for students in FIBAA-accredited programs include:
  • Degrees recognized globally;
