UEFers Exploring the International Retail Environment at Central Retail Corporation

On May 29, more than 80 UEF students took part in an enriching field trip to Central Retail Corporation. The visit provided them with deeper insights into the international retail working environment and offered valuable hands-on experiences. It also helped strengthen the long-term collaboration between the university and the enterprise.

Accompanying the students on the trip were Dr. Nhan Cam Tri - Vice President, Dr. Pham Huy Cuong – Dean of the Faculty of English, and Mr. Tran Thanh Huy, M.A.- Deputy Director of the Center for Corporate Relations.
 
The UEF delegation was warmly welcomed by representatives from Central Retail Corporation, including Ms. Nguyen Hoang Loc Uyen- HR Director of GO! Mall and Mr. Truong Anh Duy- HRBP Assistant Manager.
 
The event also featured speakers from Central Retail, namely Ms. Le Ho Thanh Trang - HRBP Manager, Mr. Vu Duc Dang Khoa- L&D Manager, and Mr. Truong Anh Tu- HR Intern.
 
The university representatives presented a thank-you letter and gifts to Central Retail.
 
Central Retail and analyzed the differences between Vietnamese and international corporate cultures. He also provided useful advice to help students choose a working environment that best suits their personalities and career goals.
 
Next, Ms. Le Ho Thanh Trang focused on the topic of communication in the workplace. She discussed common communication challenges in multinational environments and offered practical tips for interns to communicate effectively. Her valuable insights helped UEFers gain a clearer understanding of how to behave and communicate professionally to make a positive impression from the very first days at work.
 
The presentation by Mr. Vu Duc Dang Khoa brought forward innovative ideas about expressing personal identity. He encouraged students to proactively seek opportunities to impress potential employers even while they are still at university.
 
Concluding the session, Mr. Truong Anh Tu shared his internship journey at Central Retail — from finding opportunities to gain experience to his current role as an HR intern — and emphasized the essential work attitudes that students should develop to succeed in their future careers.
 
Practical experiences from Central Retail were enthusiastically shared by the speakers.
 
After the field trip and practical learning session at an international enterprise, UEFers gained valuable experience and a solid foundation for future internship and career opportunities. It is hoped that this activity will inspire students to pursue and confidently seize career opportunities at foreign enterprises in the future.
