Location: Located in the Oakland neighborhood, Pitt’s campus is a 3-mile trip from bustling downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. City buses stop every 10 to 15 minutes on campus, and students can ride public transportation into the city for free with school ID.

More than 28,500 students, with over 19,000 undergraduates and 19,000 graduate students are studying at Pittsburgh. Over 3,000 are international students from over 100 countries around the world, 20 among which are from Vietnam.

Pittsburgh University includes 5 campuses with state-of-the-art classrooms, laboratories and libraries. The main campus comprises approximately 132 urban acres (0.53 km2) located in Pittsburgh's historic Oakland neighborhood. Pitt also maintains regional Pennsylvania campuses as well as a Computer Center , Science Center, Pymatuning Laboratory of Ecology in Linesville. The university also has a major archeological research site.

Pittsburgh University offers courses for both undergraduate and graduate level. The most popular majors at University of Pittsburgh include: Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services; Health Professions and Related Programs; Social Sciences; Engineering; and Psychology.

The student-faculty ratio: 14:1, and the school has 40.1 percent of its classes with fewer than 20 students. The average freshman retention rate, an indicator of student satisfaction, is 91.8 percent.

University of Pittsburgh offers a number of student services including nonremedial tutoring, placement service, health service, and health insurance. University of Pittsburgh also offers campus safety and security services like 24-hour foot and vehicle patrols, late night transport/escort service, 24-hour emergency telephones, lighted pathways/sidewalks, and controlled dormitory access (key, security card, etc).
