03/25/2026

Session 3 of the “Excel for Future Professionals” Program - Phase 2 held on the afternoon of March 21 continued to bring practical and valuable knowledge to students of the UEF Faculty of Finance and Accounting through the topic “Applying Dashboard Reporting in Excel”. This was not only a skills session but also a journey that helped students approach the mindset and process of building professional reports in a corporate environment.

The session equipped students with practical knowledge to apply in the workplace

Accompanying the program, Mr. Đoàn Thanh Tâm Bình - Trainer at UniTrain Consulting and Training Co., Ltd., and also Field Force Effectiveness Manager at Zuellig Pharma - brought a practical perspective drawn from his own experience in the field of performance management. With a clear and approachable sharing style, the speaker helped students visualize how an effective Dashboard is built from raw data.

Throughout the session, Mr. Tâm Bình presented the process of building a Dashboard in Excel in a systematic and practical way. Starting from identifying the reporting objective - the core factor that determines the Dashboard’s structure and content - to the steps of collecting and cleaning data, calculating indicators, and visualizing information through charts. Beyond technical operations, the session also helped students understand that a good report is not only “beautiful” but must also be “accurate” and “sufficient”, so that it can effectively support decision making.

A great deal of valuable professional knowledge for students

As a result, students not only improved their Excel skills but also gradually developed the ability to analyze and present data. These are important competencies in today’s context of digital transformation. Through specific hands on exercises, they had the opportunity to build Dashboards directly and receive feedback from the speaker, thereby improving their approach and refining their work.

Students practiced under the guidance of the speaker

The program helped further strengthen the connection between training activities and students’ professional orientation. At the end of the session, the students were awarded certificates of participation, recognizing their learning efforts and proactive spirit in improving their professional skills.

M.A. Đỗ Thị Lệ Thu - Lecturer of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting - together with the speaker awarded certificates to students who completed the course

More than simply providing tools, “Excel for Future Professionals” also gradually helps UEF students build a foundation for professional working thinking. From there, they are ready to adapt and break through in the modern corporate environment.
