UEF Partners with Universitas Muhammadiyah Riau to Expand Study and Internship Opportunities

On the morning of February 14, UEF welcomed representatives from Universitas Muhammadiyah Riau (UMRI) to discuss cooperation in international programs. The meeting focused on key topics regarding international study and internship opportunities for students in the finance and accounting disciplines.

 


The working session between the two universities opened up prospects for new avenues of collaboration

Representatives from UMRI included Mr. Mizan Asnawi – Dean; Ms. Wan Laura Hardilawati – Management; Ms. Rahayu Setianingsih – Management; Ms. Norra Isnasia Rahayu – Accounting Program; and Mr. Hendri Ali Ardi – Digital Business Program. Representing UEF were Dr. Nhan Cẩm Trí – Vice President; Dr. Đỗ Hữu Nguyên Lộc – Vice President; Dr. Hà Thị Thủy – Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting; and Mr. Nguyễn Thanh Lâm, MA – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting.

At the meeting, Dr. Nhan Cẩm Trí emphasized UEF’s existing international programs, in which students have opportunities to participate in international semesters and internships in countries such as China, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, and Indonesia.






Representatives from both sides exchanged proposed areas of cooperation

The Faculty of Finance and Accounting suggested initiatives including student exchange, faculty exchange, joint research, short-term international semesters, overseas internships, cultural exchange, international conferences and seminars, as well as participation in international competitions. Additionally, UEF expressed its willingness to host UMRI students for study programs in Vietnam, while UMRI also extended an invitation for UEF representatives to visit their campus in Indonesia.

Building on these discussions, UEF and UMRI will continue to further elaborate on the details of each program, with the aim of implementing high-quality initiatives for students of both institutions.
