In the context of higher education facing increasingly demanding requirements in training quality, digital transformation, and practical engagement, building and spreading a quality culture is no longer merely a long term strategic objective, but has become a continuous action requirement across all training and university governance activities.
In that spirit, on the morning of January 22, the UEF Faculty of Finance and Accounting organized a faculty level seminar on the topic “Quality culture in training activities and learner support: From planning to action”, creating a forum for in depth professional exchange among lecturers, administrators, and industry experts.

The activity continues to contribute to strengthening the quality culture in training within the Faculty of Finance and Accounting
Within the program, Dr. Lê Vũ Hương Giang, Head of the Quality Assurance Office, delivered an overview of the objectives and orientations of this work for the 2026 to 2030 period, based on a review of the 2020 to 2025 development journey. The presentation highlighted the outstanding achievements of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting in quality assurance, with many accomplishments recognized and highly appreciated by the university, and selected for sharing as a model of good practice across the institution.
From the general context of higher education today, in which science and technology, digital transformation, and the demand to improve training quality are creating profound changes, she clarified UEF’s position and development orientation within Vietnam’s higher education system. On that foundation, the key objectives, strategies, and quality assurance KPI system were identified toward building and spreading a sustainable quality culture, with continuous improvement at the core, meeting domestic and international accreditation standards, while maintaining academic reputation and enhancing governance effectiveness.
Key directions include completing the quality assurance system at both institutional and program levels, accelerating the application of information technology, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence in management and training, strengthening stakeholder surveys to improve satisfaction and deepen feedback, and promoting international accreditation and rankings such as ACBSP, FIBAA, QS Stars, and QS Sustainability. At the same time, attention is given to staff development and internationalization through benchmarking, collaboration, and professional capacity building for those working in quality assurance.

Next, M.A. Lê Dũng, Head of the Academic Affairs Office, shared orientations for improving training quality in association with digital transformation. Accordingly, the university has been implementing a wide range of digital transformation solutions in a synchronized manner, from developing tools and software for teaching, management, and operations to assessment and quality assurance, covering multiple dimensions. In particular, in a context where admission methods continue to change and competition among higher education institutions is becoming increasingly intense, improving training quality while retaining and accompanying learners has been identified as a continuous mission.
Practical implementation has shown that the Faculty of Finance and Accounting has achieved many positive results in accreditation and training quality assurance, thereby contributing to the university’s overall effectiveness. The university places emphasis on ensuring consistent teaching quality across classes, especially in modules taught by multiple lecturers, while also strengthening learner care and support through the analysis of learning data after each semester.

Also during the program, Dr. Hà Thị Thủy, Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, shared the quality plan and objectives for the 2025 to 2026 academic year with a strategic development orientation based on three pillars: strengthening internal capacity by consolidating governance foundations and the academic team, deepening expertise by improving training quality, research, and learning outcomes, and broadening connections by promoting cooperation, practical engagement, and the expansion of domestic and international networks. This orientation is expected to lay the foundation for sustainable development and improve the faculty’s overall quality in the new academic year.
In addition, M.A. Nguyễn Thanh Lâm, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, analyzed the current situation and proposed solutions to improve the training results of specialized subjects taught in English under the faculty’s management in the 2025 to 2026 academic year. From the overall picture of class scale and learning outcomes, the report pointed out several issues requiring attention. On that basis, coordinated solutions in teaching methods, assessment, and learner support were discussed in order to gradually improve academic results and enhance the training quality of subjects taught in English in the coming period.

In addition, the seminar also focused on discussing how to connect training activities with professional practice and business needs. Dr. Lê Hữu Nghĩa, Head of Internal Audit at Vietbank and lecturer of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, proposed ways to strengthen connections among lecturers, students, and businesses through flexible academic models.
The proposal aims at creating an open exchange space where business experts can directly share new trends such as AI applications in banking, chatbots, credit rating, or blockchain in accounting and finance. Through interdisciplinary dialogue, lecturers play a guiding role, helping students properly understand the nature of issues and update practical professional requirements, thereby orienting training in line with real working competencies. One of the emphasized solutions is to proactively receive job descriptions from businesses in order to adjust training content to better match the labor market.
