Through this trip, the students will have the opportunity to gain a closer look at Korea—the land of Kimchi—while exploring its unique culture, diverse cuisine, and meeting its people.

5 UEFers departed for Korea to join in 2024 “Bridge to Keimyung” Summer Camp Scholarship.

The UEF participants in the program included Do Ngoc Kim Ngan, a class of 2021 student from the English Language and Linguistics Department at the International Institute; Ong Thai Binh, a class of 2021 student from the Marketing Department at the Faculty of Marketing; Truong Nguyen Minh Man, a class of 2022 student from the Business Administration and Marketing Department at the International Institute; Do Uyen Nhi, a class of 2023 student from the International Business Department at the International Institute; and Nguyen Thi My Dung, a class of 2020 student from the Electronic Commerce Department at the Faculty of Information Technology.

The 7-day program concluded on July 27th with a variety of cultural exchange and academic activities. Notably, accompanying the students on this trip was Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Linh, Deputy Head of the Department of Languages and International Cultures.

One of the highlights of the trip was the opportunity to immerse themselves in Korean culture through six unique activities: a tea ceremony, traditional Hanbok attire, traditional music, calligraphy, Taekwondo, and K-pop dance. These activities gave the five vibrant students a deeper appreciation and a better understanding of Korea's rich and diverse cultural tapestry.

Beyond that, UEF students will visit many famous landmarks in South Korea. The program includes several exciting destinations, such as E-World Amusement Park, the cities of Gyeongju and Daegu, the Hyundai automobile manufacturing plant in Ulsan, Keimyung University Museum, and Ttang Ttang Chicken Island, offering students the chance to explore more about the people, culture, and traditional customs of beautiful South Korea.

Many interesting activities in Korea were waiting for UEFers to explore.

As 'UEF ambassadors,' they had a fantastic opportunity to immerse themselves in the vibrant culture of South Korea. They not only experienced firsthand the unique customs, warm hospitality, and breathtaking landscapes that make the country a top tourist destination, but they also explored bustling streets, savored delicious street food, and discovered the true essence of Korean culture.

At the send-off, Do Ngoc Kim Ngan’s parents shared, 'When we first received the news that she had the opportunity to join the summer camp in Korea, our family was quite worried about her traveling to a different country. However, we are extremely proud that her persistent and immense efforts to seize this opportunity have finally paid off. We hope she enjoys this one-week camp to the fullest, picking up various new skills, experiencing diverse cultures, and acquiring invaluable lessons for her upcoming journey.

Wishing you a week filled with meaningful exchanges and learning experiences in the Land of Kimchi.

Participating in various international programs in foreign countries is a considerable advantage for UEFers as it allows them to explore and experience the culture and language.

In line with its goal of internationalizing education, UEF has actively expanded its international cooperation programs and cultural exchanges, offering students valuable opportunities for growth and exposure to new knowledge. On this trip to Korea, UEF hopes all students have a week filled with memorable experiences and ultimately achieve positive outcomes.
