Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) announces admissions for Master’s programs – Intake 1, 2026, offering 7 majors: Business Administration, Finance and Banking, Accounting, Economic Law, English Language, Public Relations, and Marketing.
Mode of study: Full-time
Duration of study: 18 – 24 months
3. Eligibility and Admission Requirements
Applicants who have graduated from a university or have met the requirements for recognition of university graduation (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant field;
Applicants holding a bachelor’s degree in a closely related or different major must complete prerequisite courses prior to admission consideration (the required supplementary courses will be determined based on the applicant’s undergraduate transcript);
Possess foreign language proficiency at Level 3 or higher according to the 6-Level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam;
Meet other requirements of the training program standards issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, and comply with the regulations of the University’s training program;
Have a clear personal background, not currently subject to disciplinary action at the level of warning or higher, and not under criminal prosecution or serving a criminal sentence ;
Be in sufficient health to undertake academic study;
University degrees issued by foreign educational institutions must undergo degree recognition procedures in accordance with current regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training;
Submit a complete application dossier within the deadline prescribed by the University.

UEF Master’s Progam Admissions – Intake 1, 2026
The admission score is calculated based on the applicant’s cumulative undergraduate GPA on a 4-point scale (rounded to two decimal places), plus priority points for eligible categories and regions (if applicable).
The minimum GPA required for application submission is 2.0 or higher on a 4-point scale, or 5.0 or higher on a 10-point scale.
5. Foreign Language Proficiency Requirements
Applicants meet the foreign language requirement if they possess one of the following degrees or certificates:
A bachelor’s degree or higher in a foreign language major; or a bachelor’s degree or higher from a program primarily delivered in a foreign language.
A bachelor’s degree or higher issued by Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) within the past two (02) years, with program learning outcomes meeting the foreign language proficiency requirement at Level 3 or higher according to the 6-Level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam.
One of the foreign language degrees or certificates equivalent to Level 3 or higher under the 6-Level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam, or other equivalent certificates recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training, valid at the time of application submission.
Applicants who do not meet the above requirements must take the foreign language proficiency test organized by UEF. The minimum required score for the graduate-level English proficiency test at UEF is 50 out of 100.
The reference table for conversion of certain foreign language degrees or certificates equivalent to Level 3 and Level 4 under the 6-Level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam, applicable to master’s admissions and training, is provided in the Appendix of the Master’s Admission and Training Regulations issued together with Circular No. 23/2021/TT-BGDĐT and Decision No. 942/QĐ-UEF promulgating the Master’s Admission and Training Regulations.
To apply for admission to the Master’s program at Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF), applicants are required to prepare the following documents:
Application form for admission (according to the prescribed template, download here);
Curriculum vitae (according to the prescribed template);
Notarized copy of the bachelor’s degree;
Notarized copy of the undergraduate academic transcript;
Notarized copy of the grade conversion transcript (if applicable);
Medical certificate issued within the last six (06) months;
Six (06) 3x4 cm photographs (full name and date of birth written on the back);
Notarized copy of documents proving eligibility for priority consideration (if applicable);
Notarized copy of foreign language degree or certificate (if applicable);
Notarized copy of Citizen Identification Card or Identity Card;
Copy of birth certificate;
Confirmation of employment duration (according to the prescribed template, if applicable).
7. Application and Admission Timeline
Application period: From the date of announcement until May 9, 2026.
Supplementary courses: From December 24, 2025, according to the timetable.
Foreign language proficiency test preparation: March 16, 2026, according to the timetable.
Deadline for submission of foreign language degrees/certificates for exemption consideration: Before May 9, 2026.
Foreign language proficiency test: Sunday, May 17, 2026.
Admission evaluation date: May 25, 2026.
Enrollment period: May 26, 2026 – May 30, 2026.
Opening ceremony (Tentative): Saturday, June 6, 2026.
Official commencement of classes (Tentative): From June 15, 2026, according to the timetable.
8. Fees and Tuition
Admission application fee: VND 500,000 per applicant
Tuition fee for supplementary courses (if any): VND 1,200,000 per course
Program tuition fee: VND 80,000,000 per program
9. Foreign Language Proficiency Assessment (Entry Requirement)
English test preparation course fee: VND 1,200,000
Examination fee: VND 500,000 per test
