On August 9–10, 2025, the Faculty of Business Administration of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF), in collaboration with the UEF Charity Association, organized a volunteer trip to the General Social Protection Center – Tân Hà Care Facility and Thiện Tâm Pagoda in Hàm Tân, Bình Thuận. This meaningful journey allowed members of FBA to directly meet, listen to, and share with underprivileged individuals facing difficult circumstances.

In addition to delivering gifts, the delegation organized exchange activities with children, visited elderly people living alone, and supported disadvantaged individuals. Many stories were shared, many emotions were expressed, and tears were shed — clear evidence of the empathy, appreciation, and love that the FBA family brought to this journey.
Moments of sharing – lecturers, alumni, and students of FBA presented gifts to children and elderly individuals living alone.
A special highlight of this year’s program was the participation of more than seven alumni from the 2017 to 2020 cohorts. They not only contributed material donations but also directly accompanied the entire trip, participating in all activities: interacting with orphaned children, visiting elderly residents, assisting lecturers in preparation and gift arrangement, and organizing games. Their enthusiasm and spirit of contribution made the journey warmer, more connected, and more meaningful.
Trương Công Thành (Alumnus, Class of 2017) shared: "This is my second year joining the Faculty’s ‘Compassion Journey – Spreading Love.’ What I treasure most is how the sense of connection grows stronger every year. Some lecturers are familiar faces, while others are new, but everyone is friendly and connected with us like one family. Based on last year’s experience, I invited two more alumni from the 2017 cohort this year, and I will certainly continue participating in the coming years while encouraging more friends to join so this journey can spread even further."
Trương Công Thành – alumnus from the 2017 cohort, was deeply impressed by this meaningful trip.
Hồ Quý Trọng (Alumnus, Class of 2019) expressed: "I was unable to join the Faculty in 2024, so I truly regretted missing it. That is why this two-day, one-night trip this year was very special to me. It had been a long time since I felt the joy of immersing myself in a collective spirit and returning to the role of being a student of my lecturers. I was especially happy to contribute in my own small way by bringing 200 plaster painting statues from my workshop as gifts for the children at Thiện Tâm Pagoda. Seeing them so engaged with the figures made me deeply feel the simple yet profound happiness of sharing."
Hồ Quý Trọng – alumnus from the 2019 cohort, was delighted to contribute his small effort to this year’s journey with the FBA family.
Trịnh Hoài Nam (Alumnus, Class of 2020) stated:
"I have participated in many volunteer and social programs before, but this experience felt very different — different in the people around me, in my role, and in my perspective. I joined alongside lecturers rather than peers of my own age, so it felt both familiar and refreshingly new, making me feel more mature. I was also happy to prepare and help lead games and activities for the children at Thiện Tâm Pagoda. Those were moments that made me truly happy and proud to accompany the FBA family."
Joy spread widely as alumni shared meaningful gifts filled with love.
To conclude the volunteer program, the FBA collective participated in a team-building program in Phan Thiết. Group games, team challenges, and bonding moments helped lecturers, students, alumni, and corporate partners understand one another better, creating a strong spirit of unity — an essential factor in all Faculty activities.
The “Compassion Journey – Spreading Love 2025” has come to an end, but its memories will surely remain in the hearts of every FBA UEF member. The eyes, smiles, and even tears became proof of the humanitarian values and spirit of connection that the Faculty always strives toward.
FBA sincerely thanks all corporate partners, lecturers, alumni, and students who accompanied, contributed, and spread love throughout the journey. The FBA family believes that this is not merely an annual activity, but a strong bond connecting generations, so that every year we return together to continue writing more meaningful stories filled with greater sharing and companionship.
