On the morning of June 18, students from the Faculty of Business Administration at UEF had the opportunity to participate in an international language and cultural exchange program with students and teachers from Zushi Kaisei High School (Japan). Organized by the Faculty of Languages and International Cultures in collaboration with the Faculty of Business Administration, the Faculty of Marketing, and the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, the program created a multicultural environment where students could experience international exchange right on campus.

With the theme “Vietnam - Japan: Language and Cultural Exchange Program, From Heritage to Market”, the event went beyond introducing the unique cultural characteristics of Vietnam and Japan. It also provided opportunities for students from both countries to exchange perspectives on education, career orientation, and the competencies required of global citizens in an increasingly interconnected world.

Representing UEF at the program were PhD. Nhan Cam Tri – Vice President of UEF; PhD. Piotr Antoni Binkowski – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration; MSc. Tran Anh Tung – Head of Business Administration Specialization; Vo Van Thanh Than – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Languages and International Cultures; MSc. Nguyen Thi Kim Thoai – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, along with faculty leaders and lecturers from various academic units.

In his opening remarks, PhD. Nhan Cam Tri emphasized the importance of international exchange activities in fostering a multicultural learning environment, enabling students to broaden their perspectives, improve language proficiency, and strengthen their ability to adapt to a globalized world. In an era where technology and international connectivity continue to reduce geographical barriers, opportunities to interact directly with peers from diverse cultural backgrounds provide valuable experiences for developing a global mindset and the qualities of responsible global citizens.
During the program, Japanese students and UEF students shared insights about their learning environments, school life, and the distinctive cultural features of their respective countries. These authentic and relatable conversations helped participants build meaningful connections while discovering common ground in their aspirations, lifestyles, and personal development goals.
The exchange became even more vibrant through cultural performances showcasing the rich traditions of both Vietnam and Japan. Through the universal language of art, geographical distances seemed to disappear, replaced by mutual understanding, empathy, and openness among young people who share a passion for learning and self-development.

A highlight of the program was the group discussion session between Japanese students and UEF students following the general exchange activities. This provided participants with a valuable opportunity to practice intercultural communication, discuss learning methods, career planning, emerging social trends, and the fascinating differences between the educational systems of the two countries.
Notably, the discussion sessions were accompanied by PhD. Piotr Antoni Binkowski – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and MSc. Tran Anh Tung – Head of Business Administration Specialization. Drawing on their extensive experience in international education and professional environments, the two lecturers shared practical insights on global business trends, leadership skills, modern management thinking, and the competencies needed to succeed in the future labor market.

In addition to gaining new perspectives from experts and international peers, students of the Faculty of Business Administration also had the opportunity to showcase the image of a dynamic, confident, and globally minded student generation. Every conversation and interaction became a practical learning experience, helping students strengthen their communication skills, critical thinking abilities, multicultural teamwork competencies, and adaptability to the rapidly evolving global business environment.
As businesses increasingly value global competence and the ability to work in international environments, exchange programs like this not only foster cultural connections but also serve as important stepping stones for students’ professional development. They provide opportunities for learners to gain fresh perspectives, expand their networks, and gradually cultivate a global mindset while still at university.

Through this program, the Faculty of Business Administration continues to affirm its commitment to practical and internationally oriented education. Alongside providing a strong academic foundation, the Faculty consistently creates opportunities for students to learn, connect, and grow through real-world experiences in multicultural environments. Each international exchange program is not only a memorable experience but also an important milestone that helps students develop global competencies, modern management thinking, and the confidence needed to pursue opportunities in the global business landscape.
