Faculty of Finance & Accounting holds orientation on academic pathway planning for the Class of 2025

10/02/2025

Over 25–26 September, the UEF Faculty of Finance & Accounting (FFA) hosted the first-stage orientation program, “Designing an Academic and Co-curricular Pathway: Maintaining Scholarships and Graduating on Schedule”. The sessions equipped students to understand the conditions for retaining admissions scholarships and to stay on track for timely graduation, thereby avoiding unnecessary risks during their studies.

In attendance as speakers were Nguyễn Thanh Lâm - Vice Dean, Nguyễn Nam Trung - Assistant to the Dean, and Nguyễn Thái Hà - Deputy Director, Center for Corporate Partnerships.

The two-day orientation for the Faculty of Finance & Accounting’s Class of 2025 cohort took place on 25 and 26 September

In the academic segment, presenters provided a detailed overview of the academic standing system and the criteria for maintaining entrance scholarships. The orientation also clarified the prerequisites for on-time graduation: students must complete all required courses; meet program learning outcomes and exit requirements as stipulated; and, at the time of degree conferral, have no outstanding tuition balance and no active disciplinary sanctions. Students were guided on how to consult the learning outcomes and curriculum, read the program map, and register for courses effectively.

Speakers addressed key requirements and common issues students frequently encounter

Recognizing the distinctive nature of the Faculty’s disciplines, the program delved into effective study methods, emphasizing active learning and self-directed study beyond classroom hours.

Beyond the academic track, students were introduced to research activities and a vibrant calendar of student engagement. Information was also provided on the Faculty’s flagship programs for the year, ranging from academic competitions to volunteer initiatives.

Attractive international internship opportunities for students were introduced by Nguyễn Thái Hà

The program concluded by opening practical avenues for career development and global engagement. Students received updates on current overseas internship opportunities—experiences that not only build real-world professional skills but also enhance adaptability in multicultural environments, preparing them for future global careers.

Students actively exchanged ideas on building their academic pathway

The orientation has provided Finance & Accounting students with a clear roadmap and renewed motivation to achieve their academic goals. We are confident that they will embark on an effective learning journey, creating many meaningful memories under the UEF roof.
