Recognizing this importance, on December 9, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting launched the first session of the "Excel for Future Professionals" program series. The training was designed with a core objective: to help first-year students master foundational Excel knowledge—especially Accounting and Auditing students—thereby building a solid platform for their future careers.

The session featured guest speaker Mr. Doan Thanh Tam Binh, a lecturer from UniTrain Consulting and Training Co., Ltd., and currently a Field Force Effectiveness Manager at Zuellig Pharma. With extensive expertise and practical insights, he provided students with an overview of Excel and the data-handling skills aligned with the Accounting and Auditing profession.
Session 1 focused on the topic "Data Processing – Applying core functions and specialized shortcuts to accelerate workflow". The learning content emphasized fundamental operations such as cursor movement, menu navigation, range selection, as well as mastering commonly used Excel formulas and functions. Mr. Tam Binh also guided students on how to interpret and structure commands, making it easier to remember and apply in practice.

The training series also covers advanced content such as rapid data analysis using PivotTables to summarize large datasets, developing data visualization skills through charts and dynamic dashboards, and troubleshooting common Excel errors to ensure smooth formula performance.
Notably, students practiced hands-on in class under the speaker’s step-by-step guidance, ensuring that knowledge is transformed into real skills and enabling a more accurate assessment of learning outcomes after each session.

"Excel for Future Professionals" demonstrates the Faculty of Finance and Accounting’s proactive commitment to continuously improving learning outcomes, ensuring students are strong not only in theory but also ready to engage in a professional working environment upon graduation with solid practical skills. Sessions 2 and 3 were scheduled to take place on December 11 and December 13, providing students with additional knowledge and more optimal ways to use Excel.
