UEF Faculty of Finance and Accounting Students Guided on Scholarship Renewal and On-Time Graduation

On the evening of November 27, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting organized an orientation session on developing an effective study roadmap and a plan for participating in extracurricular activities to maintain admissions scholarships and graduate on schedule for the 2023 cohort in the Accounting, Auditing, and Financial Technology programs. The event is considered an important support point, helping UEF students consolidate their direction, understand academic requirements, and prepare more thoroughly for the acceleration stage of their university journey.

Attending and sharing at the session were Mr. Nguyen Nam Trung, M.A. – Assistant Dean, along with invited guests: Ms. Pham Nguyen Thi Ngoc Chau – Deputy Director, Accounting Products and Learner Relations Division, Smart Train Academy; and Ms. Doan Hai Ngoc – Director of IELTS Mentor, Gia Dinh Branch. The participation of faculty members and guests provided multi-dimensional perspectives, connecting the University’s academic requirements with real labor-market needs.

In the opening segment, Mr. Nguyen Nam Trung, M.A. systematized all core factors students need to understand in order to build an effective learning roadmap. He helped students clarify academic performance evaluation, conditions for maintaining admissions scholarships, and the requirements to graduate on schedule.

In addition, he emphasized the role of scientific research as a tool to sharpen thinking, broaden knowledge, and create advantages in one’s professional profile. With respect to extracurricular engagement, he analyzed the significance of accumulating conduct points, activity groups that foster soft skills, and key milestones in Semester 1B related to internships, CV–portfolio development, and application skills.

A representative from IELTS Mentor also delivered practical insights on learning English to meet graduation output standards. In addition to sharing effective learning roadmaps and methods, the program introduced exclusive benefits for UEF students regarding tuition, training programs, and academic support services. This serves as motivation for students to confidently achieve required scores and ensure on-time graduation.

In the professional segment, Smart Train Academy presented the topic “From Campus to a Golden Career – Essential Preparation for Students in Finance, Accounting, and Auditing” . The content focused on workforce trends in finance, auditing, and accounting; career pathways; the competencies employers seek in new graduates; and the importance of international professional certifications in strengthening competitiveness. These updated insights help UEF students visualize their future career paths more clearly, thereby developing strategies to accumulate relevant skills and certifications.

Business perspectives provided UEF students with an overview of the labor market

The program recorded numerous questions and lively discussions from students regarding how to maintain academic performance, employer expectations for final-year students, career opportunities in the field, and how to optimize time management to balance learning and skill development. The open academic atmosphere helped students identify their personal goals more clearly and understand the steps required to achieve them.

The session concluded with a spirit of companionship and the dissemination of learning motivation for the 2023 cohort.
