The series helps UEFers strengthen Excel skills for professional tasks
After the first two sessions focused on building a data mindset, core Excel functions, and how to organize accounting and finance data for analysis, Session 3 was considered a major step forward. Students learned how to transform long, complex tables into intuitive dashboards — enabling finance and accounting professionals to quickly read performance, capture fluctuations, and support decision-making in real business contexts.
Accompanying students in this session was Mr. Doan Thanh Tam Binh — Trainer at UniTrain Consulting & Training Co., Ltd., and Field Force Effectiveness Manager at Zuellig Pharma. With years of experience in operational effectiveness analysis, data governance, and enterprise reporting, the speaker delivered highly practical insights aligned with the work Finance – Accounting students will take on after graduation.

The speaker shared actionable knowledge with real-world illustrations
In the session, Mr. Tam Binh systematized a structured and easy-to-apply workflow for building dashboards in Excel: starting from dashboard design based on reporting objectives (financial and management reporting); collecting, consolidating, and structuring data; validating and cleansing data to ensure accuracy; calculating key metrics; and visualizing insights with appropriate charts. As a result, students not only practiced Excel operations but also understood the analytical thinking behind each dashboard.
