“AI cannot replace teachers. AI is a tool, while teachers are guides to knowledge. The role of teachers remains the most important role. However, teaching today also needs to change. Teachers must develop broader capabilities to fit this stage of development, including: lifelong learning to update knowledge, creativity and connectivity to integrate technology with classroom contexts, and emotional competence to support learners in building character. Most importantly, teachers need peace of mind to foster creativity and perform at their best. The University will always create a favorable environment to help lecturers maximize their capabilities. To become ‘engineers of the soul,’ the souls of teachers themselves must be at ease to grow.” – Dr. Nguyễn Thanh Giang shared.

Dr. Nguyễn Thanh Giang underscored the core role of “teachers” in educating students in the digital era.

At the ceremony, reflections shared by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoàng Thị Hồng Hà – Dean of the Faculty of Public Relations and Communications – further highlighted the noble values of the teaching profession. Looking back on a decade with UEF, each generation of students brought her a deep sense of pride as she witnessed their growth. Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyễn Nam Trung – Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting – expressed his strong impression of UEF’s open academic environment and supportive spirit in his new professional journey.

Moving stories about the bond between teachers and students remain deeply memorable to the lecturers.

Representing UEF students, Huỳnh Hoàng Nhật An – President of the Student Association – delivered heartfelt gratitude to the faculty. The student emphasized that lecturers’ dedication goes beyond lessons and expertise; it lies in how they inspire, uplift, and accompany students through every stage of growth. Their patience, trust, and humanistic values have helped shape students’ resilience, character, and aspirations.

UEF receives FIBAA accreditation: Affirming international standards and enhancing training value

During the celebration of the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day, UEF also officially received the “FIBAA Program Accreditation Certificate” for the English Language program and the Finance–Banking program. Beyond a quality evaluation result, FIBAA accreditation carries important meaning for the University’s development journey.

FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation) is a prestigious quality assurance organization based in Switzerland and recognized worldwide. The fact that UEF’s programs meet FIBAA standards demonstrates that the University’s training quality is aligned with international benchmarks, ensuring that curriculum design, teaching methods, assessment, learning support, and career development services comply with stringent requirements.

Representatives of the Faculty of English and the Faculty of Finance and Accounting proudly received the international FIBAA accreditation.

This also means that students in the accredited programs have stronger advantages when entering the global labor market, especially as employers increasingly prioritize candidates trained under international standards. FIBAA also reinforces transparency and comparability of training quality.

For the University, FIBAA accreditation serves as a benchmark for continuous improvement, ensuring every cohort benefits from updates aligned with real-world demands and global trends—supporting the long-term goal of delivering international-standard human resources in Vietnam.

Honoring teams and individuals: Recognizing contributions to knowledge development

Continuing the joy of this day of tribute, UEF also honored teams and individuals with outstanding achievements over the past year. Commendations from the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, the Bình Thuận Province People’s Committee, the City Police Director, and the City Emulation Flag, among others, are well-deserved recognition for persistent efforts in professional work, emulation movements, and contributions to overall community development.

In addition, units and individuals who successfully fulfilled academic-year tasks, as well as lecturers who guided students in scientific research, were also recognized—reflecting a passionate academic community united toward shared goals.
