16/04/2024

As a university pursuing the goal of internationalizing education, helping students develop comprehensively and quickly become global citizens, UEF has continuously sought and expanded its international partner network over the years. The international business internship program is one of the impressive proofs of this effort.

On April 15, in the afternoon, following more than 40 previous flights, the Faculty of Languages and International Cultures, in collaboration with the UEF Center of Corporate Partnerships, continued to take 3 students to participate in a one-year business internship in Japan. There was the presence of lecturers, family, and their friends to provide additional motivation for the students to successfully complete the upcoming internship process.

At the send-off, alongside family and friends, there was also the accompaniment of Dr. Vo Van Thanh Than, Dean, Faculty of Languages and International Cultures, along with the professors and lecturers from the Faculty and the UEF Center of Corporate Partnerships.

Participating in the internship this time, there were 3 students from the 2020 intake, namely Vo Le Kim Ngan, Nguyen Le Thao Nguyen, and Le Duy Duong Hoang. This time, UEFers will serve as potential interns at Hotel Suimeikan. Additionally, students would have the opportunities to learn and perform tasks related to the industry, such as maintaining hygiene in common areas, assisting with cooking, serving in the restaurant, ensuring the quality and comfort of bed rooms, etc.

Before the flight, the professors and lecturers provided detailed instructions to the students. From preparing luggage before boarding, checking tickets and passports, to reminders about the weather and appropriate clothing, they ensured the students were well-prepared for their new living conditions. Encouraged by the advice and guidance from UEF professors, the students embarked on this overseas journey with more confidence.

In addition to developing professional skills, this is also a great chance for UEFers to seize with an aim to gain more in cultural exchange, hone, and develop their Japanese communication skills with the local people. Moreover, students will learn how to prepare Japanese dishes, explore famous landmarks, and immerse themselves deeply and closely in the local culture.

At the airport, Dr. Vo Van Thanh Than shared many messages of encouragement with the students who were about to leave their families and start a new journey. Given the school's attentive and meticulous preparation, parents felt more at ease and had high hopes for the students' growth after their training in Japan.

Despite the current weather being a significant challenge, the UEFers were still very confident and determined on the day of departure. It is believed that the cold in the new land will not hinder the dynamism and determination of the UEF students. Hopefully, they will take advantage of this opportunity to accumulate more knowledge and essential skills to improve themselves. Also, with the hope that the three students will excellently complete their internship and have more wonderful experiences in Japan.
