ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Luan began his research career in 2010 and later took on science and technology management roles at the university level, gaining diverse experience in international publications, peer review, and project development. He has co-authored numerous articles in SCI/SCIE and Top 5%–10% journals and has built an extensive collaboration network with colleagues and professors in Vietnam and abroad. In parallel, he regularly serves as a reviewer for reputable international journals, contributing to improving the quality of scientific publishing. In the project domain, he has led and participated in many research projects funded by universities and international organizations, and is a co-inventor on patents granted in the United States, demonstrating his capacity to translate research outcomes into valuable intellectual property. More recently, his work has focused on addressing practical problems through the development of green solutions and sustainable production processes in agriculture and aquaculture, aiming to enhance production value in a sustainable way, minimize environmental impacts, and ensure research results directly benefit communities and producers.
 
I am Dr. Phan Thi Nha Truc, passionate about creating platforms that connect ideas, people, and possibilities across borders. Through leading and organising international conferences, I strive to build meaningful networks that bring together scholars, industry leaders, and innovators—not only in finance and business, but across diverse disciplines. I believe that real progress happens at the intersection of perspectives. By fostering global dialogue and collaboration, I aim to create spaces where knowledge is shared openly, partnerships are formed boldly, and new solutions emerge to address complex global challenges. My mission is simple: to connect minds, inspire action, and cultivate a truly international community that drives sustainable impact beyond boundaries.
 
Ms. Truong Thi Dung holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF). She is currently working at the Department of Science, Technology and International Projects, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF). In her role, she is responsible for managing the development of the university’s learning materials; monitoring and managing the types and workload of science and technology (S&T) activities conducted by faculty members and staff; as well as coordinating and supporting research group activities. In addition, she is involved in organizing and coordinating workshops, conferences, and scientific seminars hosted by the office, contributing to the promotion of research and academic exchange within the university.
 
Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh currently serves as a Specialist at the Department of Science, Technology, and International Projects, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF), while pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Her work focuses on the management and coordination of scientific research projects at various levels within the university. She is also actively involved in planning and organizing national and international academic conferences, seminars, and other research-related events. In addition, she supports student research activities and academic competitions at the city and ministerial levels, contributing to the promotion of a strong research culture and innovation in higher education.
 
Ms. Nguyen Thuy Hang holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education. She currently serves as a Specialist at the Department of Science, Technology and International Projects, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF). In her professional role, she is responsible for planning and managing student scientific research projects, as well as organizing student research activities at the university, city, and ministerial levels. In addition, she is actively involved in organizing international scientific conferences and monitoring and coordinating international publication activities of researchers at UEF. Beyond her administrative and research support responsibilities, her academic research interests focus on power grid planning and low-voltage electrical distribution systems.
 
Ms. Chu Ngoc Anh Thu, professionally known as Thara Chu, is an International Projects Officer at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF), within the Department of Science, Technology and International Projects. Her academic foundation includes a Master in Linguistics (Vietnamese) and a Bachelor in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Her professional and research trajectory is focused on the internationalization of higher education, intercultural communication, and the strategic integration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into academic and institutional frameworks. In her current capacity at UEF, Ms. Thu facilitates international research collaborations and manages global scholarly forums that align with the university’s strategic objectives. Her expertise extends to the coordination of global research initiatives, having successfully managed joint international conferences with prestigious international partners. Her work often emphasizes the promotion of international projects designed to elevate the global standing of both faculty members and researchers.
 
Mr. Luong Quoc Bao is currently an International Projects Development Specialist at the Department of Science, Technology, and International Projects of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Ton Duc Thang University and has practical experience in coordinating international academic initiatives, including INCOSEF 2025 and grant proposal development projects involving international organizations such as IKI and UNESCO Chair. With strong English proficiency, he works closely with international partners, faculty researchers, and visiting scholars to support the development and implementation of academic projects with an international and collaborative focus.
 
I am Vo The Bao Ngan, recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF). Currently, I am working as a Collaborator at the Department of Science, Technology and International Projects, where I support logistics and communications activities, including design, content creation, and management of social media platforms such as Facebook and LinkedIn, while also assisting with research activities and the organization of academic conferences. I have gained practical experience in event coordination through my involvement in several international scientific conferences, including iCEBD 2025, CIRES 2025, and INCOSEF 2025. At the same time, I am continuing my academic journey by pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at UEF to further develop my expertise in management and academic research.
 
 
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
UEF CENTER OF TRANSDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH AND INOVATION (CITRAC)
 
Prof. Dr. Eric Jose Olmedo Panal is currently Director of the Center of Transdisciplinary Research and Innovation (CITRAC), UEF International Institute, as well as the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management for the  Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance, Vietnam.
He is listed as expert in workforce development and capacity building for tourism and hospitality industry sectors by various international agencies; as such he has led fieldwork missions on behalf of the French Development Agency, the African Development Bank and the World Bank. These missions took place in Europe, South Africa as well as Central and Southeast Asia. Deemed as an expert in sustainable food systems, Eric Olmedo was invited to the UNESCO World Forum on “Culture and Food: Innovative Strategies for Sustainable Development” where he contributed to the UNESCO Parma Declaration dated 13 September 2019.
Eric Olmedo founded an applied social science laboratory, namely Anthropotek, which is used as a platform for developing human resources’ solutions. In his role as Anthropotek Director, Eric Olmedo has been acting as principal consultant or lead researcher for multinational companies, namely AIRBUS group and VINCI Construction, as well as government bodies such as the Northern Corridor Implementation Authority in Malaysia (NCIA). Since August 2023, he is co-Chair holder of the UNESCO Chair in Social Practices in Intercultural Communication and Social Cohesion.
