JUNE 27 - Students from MCUT went on a visit to well-known places in Ho Chi Minh City and gained knowledge about the country's rich history and culture, following their first day of learning Vietnamese and getting acquainted with their new surroundings.

During the City tour, Ms. Kelly Chen – Associate Professor and Director of IMBA Program – joined MCUT students and UEFers as a fellow traveller. Additionally, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Tam Nguyen – Faculty member, Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management – dedicatedly supported and shared insightful stories about the places visited by the delegation during this practical experience.

MCUT students and UEFers visited several historical architectural landmarks in Saigon

The MCUT students visited various tourist sites during their trip, including HCMC Central Post Office, Notre-Dame Cathedral, Independence Palace, Nguyen Hue walking street and other landmarks. These sites are not only known for their beautiful architecture but also for their rich historic and cultural significance, which make them sources of local pride.

Students expressed their gratitude in activities at the sites

Wu Yu-chieh, who came to Ho Chi Minh City for the first time, was intrigued by the bustling scene he witnessed there. It was the image of people happily chatting in sidewalk shops, the sound of car horns, and the vendors’ banter that caught his attention.

Thanks to the enthusiastic assistance of UEFers, MCUT students gained a better understanding of the historic significance of the places they visited, such as the Independence Palace and Central Post Office, etc. This fostered a sense of connection between the students.
