[FBA Company Tour] “Nurturing” Students in Developing Vietnamese Agricultural Products

10/13/2025
On October 9th, 2025, the Faculty of Business Administration, University of Economics and Finance - UEF, collaborated with the High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Business Association (HVNCLC), the Business Studies and Assistance Center (BSA), and Vina T&T Group to organize a Company Tour. This meaningful activity is part of the program series “Green Works - Green Consumption 2025.”

The trip provided UEF students with a valuable opportunity to directly access green production models, explore sustainable consumption trends, and listen to in-depth insights from experts and pioneering enterprises in Vietnam’s green economy.

The program was attended by Ms. Vu Kim Hanh - Chairwoman of the High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Business Association; Dr. Huynh Nhut Nghia - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration; along with UEF lecturers and students.

According to Ms. Vu Kim Hanh, green production and sustainable consumption are becoming inevitable trends in the modern economy. However, achieving sustainable development requires collective efforts, enterprises cannot operate in isolation. The connection among farmers, businesses, and universities is key to optimizing costs, improving processes, and establishing a green, clean, and sustainable agricultural value chain. “We hope that students, the future managers and innovators, will become providers of green, clean, and human-centered products right from their time at university,” she shared at the event.

As part of the Company Tour, the delegation visited two fruit processing factories of Vina T&T Group, gaining insights into preprocessing, preservation, and packaging processes that meet U.S. and European standards. Students directly observed quality control procedures, product shaping, and the standardization of cultivation areas to meet international export requirements. These experiences helped students better understand the green food supply chain, as well as the roles of technology, logistics, and quality management in agricultural exports.

During the discussion session, experts and business representatives also shared insights on technical support for farmers in green production, directions for innovation research in sustainable agriculture, and the role of communication in promoting green consumption models.

Dr. Huynh Nhut Nghia highlights the program’s practical perspective and its role in inspiring students to develop research ideas

The trip not only provided practical insights into production processes but also inspired research among students of the Faculty of Business Administration. Many students began forming research ideas related to green business models, sustainable consumption, and environmentally friendly supply chain management, topics that are gaining strong interest from both academia and industry.

Dr. Huynh Nhut Nghia shared: “Direct observation and interaction with enterprises help students realize that management theories are closely linked to practice. This is also how the Faculty of Business Administration guides students to align their thinking with sustainable development trends.”

Following the Company Tour, the Faculty of Business Administration plans to expand collaboration with enterprises through initiatives such as signing Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) on training, research, and internships; organizing field trips and enterprise immersion programs; and implementing experiential learning activities that strengthen connections among businesses, lecturers, and students.

These efforts align with the Faculty’s strategic orientation to enhance students’ professional competencies while fostering sustainable partnerships between the University, enterprises, and the community.
Company Tour 2025 is not merely a field trip but a journey of learning, connection, and innovation. With the support of enterprises and social organizations, students of the Faculty of Business Administration continue to affirm the role of the younger generation in building a green and sustainable economy for the future.
