FBA Faculty Research Conference Advances Quality Enhancement in Education

As part of the academic year 2022–2023 review phase, faculties across the University have actively organized faculty research conferences to evaluate research activities, while also fostering academic exchange and collaboration among lecturers.
On the morning of July 6, the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) successfully held its Faculty Research Conference under the theme “Improving and Enhancing the Quality of Education in Business Administration and Human Resource Management.” The event served as a platform for reviewing research outcomes and promoting academic dialogue among faculty members.
Out of 15 research papers included in the conference proceedings, three outstanding studies were selected for presentation and discussion. These papers represented two key disciplines: Business Administration and Human Resource Management, reflecting the Faculty’s strong focus on aligning research activities with teaching quality improvement and practical relevance.

The conference was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Cao Cuong – Standing Vice President of the University; Dr. Ly Dan Thanh – Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration; Dr. Huynh Nhut Nghia and MSc. Nguyen Ngoc Thuy Tien – Vice Deans of the Faculty, along with faculty members.

Three selected research papers were presented and discussed at the conference, including: “Higher Education Quality and Graduate Employability in the Digital Era” by Dr. Nguyen Duy Quang; “Recommendations for Digital Transformation in Teaching Activities for Human Resource Management Lecturers at the University of Economics and Finance Ho Chi Minh City” by MSc. Dang Thanh Thuy; and “Digital Transformation in Vietnam’s Hospitality Industry: The Role of Educational Institutions” co-authored by MSc. Vo Hong Son and MSc. Nguyen Ngoc Thuy Tien.

All presented studies were recognized for their strong practical relevance and alignment with the current educational context of the Faculty of Business Administration in particular and the University as a whole. Dr. Ly Dan Thanh emphasized that these research works offer meaningful contributions to the Faculty’s upcoming curriculum development.
Among them, the study by MSc. Vo Hong Son and MSc. Nguyen Ngoc Thuy Tien generated the most active discussion. With its applied research approach, the study provided valuable practical insights that lecturers can leverage in designing course content in the future.

The 15 research papers presented in the conference proceedings collectively highlighted existing challenges in the current education landscape that impact teaching effectiveness and student outcomes. Based on these findings, the studies proposed practical solutions aimed at enhancing training quality in the context of a rapidly evolving society.
The conference also provided an opportunity for FBA lecturers to engage in meaningful exchanges, sharing experiences and research outcomes—their intellectual contributions developed through dedicated academic efforts.
The conference concluded successfully, with the research outputs expected to serve as valuable reference materials for students interested in scientific research, while further reinforcing the Faculty’s commitment to advancing academic excellence.
