FBA-UEF Continues Co-Teaching Initiative with Indonesian Partner in Human Resource Management Course

12/22/2025
Following the success of its international co-teaching series, the Faculty of Business Administration at Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) continued its collaboration with the University Jenderal Soedirman (UNSOED) by organizing a co-teaching session for the Human Resource Management course on December 19, 2025.

The session was jointly delivered by two lecturers from the partner institutions: Dr. Siti Zulaikha Wulandari, S.E., M.Si – Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business, UNSOED, Indonesia, and M.A. Nguyen Tran Duyen Phu – Lecturer at the Faculty of Business Administration, UEF. This collaboration brought a multidimensional perspective on human resource management, enabling students to not only grasp standardized theoretical frameworks but also recognize differences in recruitment approaches across countries and organizations.
This activity aligns with the Faculty’s strategy to strengthen the internationalization of its academic programs, offering students access to knowledge from diverse global contexts while enhancing their professional competencies in an increasingly globalized labor market.

The co-teaching session focused on selection interviews as a critical stage in the recruitment process

The session centered on the topic of Selection Interviews, the final and decisive stage in the recruitment process aimed at identifying candidates who best fit the job position and organizational culture.
Through the lecture, students were introduced to key concepts in a structured manner, including: the definition and objectives of selection interviews in human resource management; classification of interviews based on three main criteria (level of structure, content and question types, and interview format); and how organizations design and implement interviews to assess candidates’ competencies, attitudes, and overall fit. In addition to theoretical foundations, the session incorporated practical examples and real-world scenarios, helping students better understand how interviews are applied in modern business environments.

The co-teaching session enhanced students’ professional competencies in an international context

Through this session, Business Administration students gained a solid foundation in recruitment interviews, developed a clear understanding of their role in personnel decision-making, and became better prepared in terms of mindset, skills, and professional attitude for future job interviews.
The co-teaching series with UNSOED stands as a strong testament to the Faculty of Business Administration and UEF’s commitment to sustainable international academic collaboration. By leveraging the academic strengths of lecturers from both institutions, students benefit from a more enriched, up-to-date, and application-oriented learning experience.
From courses such as Principles of Management and Strategic Management to Human Resource Management, these co-teaching sessions continue to foster an open learning environment, promote global thinking, and enhance UEF’s position within the international education network.
